In Islaam, speaking good is rewarded, but acting upon that good is what truly earns Allaah’s pleasure. Allaah warns us clearly:
(O you who believe! Why do you say what you do not do? It is greatly detested by Allaah that you say what you do not do.)
(Qur’an 61:2–3)
Before advising others, look inward. Ask yourself,
“Am I trying to follow this advice too?”
We don’t need to be perfect to remind others, but we should always be striving toward the same good we encourage. Even a small step in that direction brings sincerity to our words and blessing to our actions.
May Allaah make our words and actions consistent, protect us from inconsistencies in our actions and words and help us live by what we speak. Ameen.

Their words were a source of comfort and guidance for many, their departure leaves a void impossible to fill.
May Allaah grant them mercy and reunite us in Jannah.
Self-control is the ability to manage one’s emotions, thoughts, and behaviors in the face of temptations and impulses.
It allows individuals to make thoughtful decisions, resist short-term gratification, and stay focused on long-term goals.
Practicing self-control can lead to better relationships, improved mental health, and greater success in personal and professional life.
While it can be challenging, self-control is like a muscle the more you exercise it, the stronger it becomes.
Through mindfulness, discipline, and reflection, anyone can develop greater self-mastery and lead a more intentional life.
Let us Suppress our desires for the betterment of the future.

The Rasuul (SAW) was reported to have said: By Him in Whose Hand my soul is, if you were not to sin, Allaah would sweep you out of existence and He would replace you by those people who would commit sin and seek forgiveness from Allaah, and He would pardon them.”
Sahih Muslim, 2749
This Hadeeth beautifully illustrates the reality that seeking forgiveness (Istighfar) is not just about asking for pardon for our sins; it’s about recognizing the mercy of Allaah and the importance of constantly turning to Him, even if we were to sin repeatedly.
Allaah’s mercy and forgiveness are infinite, and as long as we seek it sincerely, He will always forgive.
It also reminds us that as humans, we are prone to mistakes, but Allaah’s mercy is vast enough to encompass all our shortcomings—so long as we seek to turn back to Him with humility.
Another Hadeeth:
The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) also said in a Hadith from Sahih Bukhari:
“I ask forgiveness from Allaah and turn to Him in repentance more than seventy times a day.”
— Sahih Bukhari, 6307
This Hadith shows that even the Prophet, the best of creation, frequently sought forgiveness from Allaah demonstrating the importance of regular repentance.
It teaches us to humble ourselves and ask for forgiveness regularly, regardless of the amount of sin or imperfection in our lives.
Istighfar purifies the heart and soul and brings us closer to Allaah, so it’s an essential practice for every believer.
Let’s invest our time in seeking for forgiveness from Allaah.
