Faith Community Baptist School - FCBS

Faith Community Baptist School - FCBS Faith, Truth and Knowledge Faith Community Baptist Complex of Schools was founded by the Rev. Deborah Adu who is still at post and Mr. Kweku Appiah.

Dr. John Mensah Oduro and Mrs Gwendolyn Mensah Oduro on September 26th, 1989 in West Madina (popularly called Madina Zongo Junction). The school was started with two children, Mensah Nii Bortey and Sweetan Kofi Dubatse and two teachers Mrs. The school was established with an amount of 15 cedis. It was temporarily housed in the Faith Community Baptist Chapel which was then roofed with a tent. Anyti

me it rained studies were disrupted but despite this and other handicaps school activities continued due to the perseverance and dedication of the teachers. In 1990, the school moved from the chapel into a wooden structure which served as classroom and administration. The wooden structure is currently being used as common room for the the Junior High Staff, a bookshop and Health Post for the Madina Community. The nursery section was under a shed which now serve as a canteen. The Senior High was established in January 1996 and has produced outstanding citizens including teachers who are currently employed at the school.
