RE: BEWARE OF FALSE TEACHERS AND MESSIAH
It has been noted from a press statement of CHRISTIAN ECUMENICAL BODIES GHANA (CCG) dated 11/7/2024 with headline, BEWARE OF FALSE TEACHERS AND MESSIAHS, and we Concerned Christians take serious exceptions to the statement and wish to respond. Our intention is to correct the wrong impressions created and to ensure that there is sanctity in Christianity in Ghana.
The leadership of the ecumenical bodies’ publication acclaimed to be a reaction to a purported viral video about Papa Stephen Adom Kyei-Duah (the Prophet of Almighty God). It quoted two issues of concern to them and certain members of the public that they sought to address.
The issues raised are;
1) “…the prophet asserts that he is the one Christians have been waiting for.”
2) “Additionally, he states that in the next five hundred years, his picture will replace the face of the ‘Jesus picture’ which is widely known in the world.”
The authors also added a third issue that, "sensational events or miracles cannot necessarily authenticate a person as chosen from God.”
We the Concerned Christians hereby respond to the purported Christian leaders’ press statement that, respectfully, their publication has indicated WRONG IMPRESSION, is MISLEADING and has NO JUSTIFIABLE BASIS TO MALIGN the servant of God. The press statement rather exposes weakness in the Christian leadership in Ghana, that is the authors. We hesitate to believe that the authors of the press statement are the actual Christian Ecumenical Bodies (CCG). Be it as it may, so far as the statement has been circulated in various churches’ platforms and in some media space such as Modern Ghana .com and sankofa .com, we will not turn a blind eye to that. But we humbly respond by using relevant Bible passages to correct the wrong impression. We also seek to help the concerned public and the Christian community in particular to appreciate the truth and provide a just cause for people to remain resolute in their high respect for Papa Stephen Adom Kyei-Duah’s ministry of the Lord Jesus Christ. Considering the seriousness of the matter, our response write up will be in two parts. This is the first part.
From a good intention and purposes if you do a proper content analysis of all the statements made by Papa Stephen Adom Kyei-Duah (the Prophet of God), you will definitely NOT make such mistakes and wrong conclusions. His speech is noted to have been made at a three-day (5th -7th July) church program in Accra dubbed, “Grace upon Grace” to commission a new ultramodern church building. As part of the program there were Anointing and Thanksgiving services where the purported video covered the assertions. The publication has tarnished Papa Stephen Adom Kyei-Duah’s hard won reputation over his 36 years of

unblemished godly stewardship. If you could not have time to listen to his presentations and services lasting for about four hours on the day’s church service, juxtapose the two-issue sentences selected and match them against at least, the servant of God’s Opening Prayer for the occasion which states:
Paapa (Father) we thank and magnify You in honour and declare that You are God. As Your children, we beseech Your infinite mercy and plead with You that from Your abundant grace provide all our needs of life. We promise that Your children will testify to give all glory to You and let the whole world hear that it is only You who has taken care of us. You are God and being Almighty, we thank You in the mighty and holy name of Jesus Christ, amen!
From the quoted prayer translated in English, it can clearly be noted that what the Christian leaders have attributed to Papa Stephen Adom Kyei-Duah, could not be true.
The authors’ three issues raised in the publication will be discussed one after the other.
1) “…the prophet asserts that he is the one Christians have been waiting for.”
The authors of the publication appear not to know the meaning of this assertion. They stated that Prophet Stephen Adom Kyei-Duah (Papa Adom) cannot be the Jesus Christians are looking for. What is the meaning of “…the one Christians are waiting for? The authors indicated it is about the prophet claiming to be a Messiah. It is unfortunate to think that way, because the servant of God did not say that. As indicated above this attribution has wrong impression.
But let’s correct the wrong impression by defining, “…waiting for”. Merriam-Webster dictionary definition states among others as, “expecting, looking for, anticipating”. It is also about “someone waiting for something to be fixed”. It can be noted that it has nothing to do with waiting for a Messiah, as the authors alleged.
In Christianity, there is no question about the Lord Jesus Christ being the Lord of lords and King of kings. The ONLY Son of the living God, the Savior of mankind who shed His blood on the cross, died, resurrected and ascended to heaven, and the Messiah to come in glory as the Apostles witnessed His glorious ascension in Acts 1:9-11. The authors of the press statement did not state that Papa Stephen Adom Kyei-Duah (Papa Adom) has said he is the Son of God who died on the cross (let alone to be a Messiah). Which means the authors knew the truth that the servant of God has NOT said that. So why raise an issue for a non-existing matter? This is much ado about nothing.
Considering the above definition of “waiting for” as expecting someone to help fix something, it is the actual contextual meaning of the assertion of Papa Stephen Adom Kyei-Duah (Papa Adom). We can respectfully say that, a serious-minded Christian leader can observe that there are worrying challenges such as unbiblical practices in Christianity. Largely Christians have been waiting for someone like Papa Adom to help show the right way of the Lord Jesus Christ for people to know how to fix the barrage of issues today.
Indeed, there are many Christians who have been yearning to have real solutions to their problems as part of the full salvation package, because their churches are not able to provide same. For instance, a prominent Apostle and overall leader of a Pentecostal church in Ghana, was seen in a WhatsApp video, talking to some leaders of his church to be mindful that many people attend church, not only to worship. But they

have expectations for their problems to be solved. It can be learned that such church members could go behind their churches to attend other pastors’ prayer revival programs with the intention of finding solutions. We respectfully refer the Christian leaders to please check the church background of participants and prayer topics at MOGPA all night; find out attendees of camps 1, 3, 5 and 8 of Atwea mountain. The least is talk about those who lead unsuspecting people into the Atwea mountain forest outside the Camps to do despicable things including immoral acts and crimes. Also check the attendees of Achimota forest prayer camp, school parks at night, Accra high street auditorium all night programs etc. Also check how “yegeyege one man pray for me” pastors have been taking undue advantage of many people by bathing marriage women, charging huge amounts for so called divine consultations without real solution to the clients’ problems. But they persistently experience agonizing hardships.
Is it that the Christian leaders (authors) cannot know or hear the complaints of people (including their church members) taken to cemeteries at midnight to purportedly cast out witches, overturn curses, deal with “SUMSUM wiase” tormenting them? Such pastors rather cause confusion and tearing families apart with accusation that church members’ parents are witches. Workplace colleagues are branded as enemies of progress. Please let’s remember that the Bible says you remove the log in your eyes before you can properly see to remove any purported speck in another’s eye. So please authors, open your eyes to see and address your backyard problems before you can know whether or not another person has same.
It must however, be noted that Almighty God is compassionately caring and has accordingly provided Papa Adom with the Holy Ghost anointing and the gift of miraculous power and healing. His bold anchored belief that besides the Lord Jesus Christ, there is NO other power- is heartwarming and soul lifting unto God’s glory! Indeed, aside the power of the Lord Jesus Christ, there is no witches power, no river deity power (that is why even bad practices like galamsey could destroy river bodies) neither any fe**sh deity power curse nor any other can kill or destroy a Christian’s life. The Lord Jesus Christ has, “… ALL the power in heaven and earth….” Mtt 28:18 and also note Deut 32:39. So together with his selfless life in honoring the Lord, Almighty God is using Papa Adom to demonstrate the power of the Holy Ghost. We can say without reservation that many Christians have waited and yearned to have him to help show them the Bible truth that, it’s not any family altar, neither “SUMSUM wiase” nor any fe**sh deity that is causing their life problems. But it is ONLY the Lord Jesus Christ who has ALL power over mankind. He teaches that when you repent like the prodigal child and plead for gracious God’s forgiveness, and you humbly request for His merciful solution then you will get answers to your prayers according to His will. Papa Adom has continuously been saying that “he is NOT the Lord Jesus Christ” but a servant to demonstrate the power of the Holy Ghost, and destroy the ancient satanic strongholds.
For about 36 years the servant of God has faithfully discharged and continue to deliver his divine mandate not only in soul saving mission, true teachings of the Bible with discipleship in righteousness (“ye wo ho yie”), compassionate care (examples are sharing of the Offerings to needy members, and benevolence to other needy people in society). But also manifesting the power of the Holy Ghost from grace to greater grace with all glory unto God. Please let us be God fearing and be fair with the servant of God, for it is true that people including Christians have been waiting and looking for a servant of God like him.
The authors should not have made the erroneous interpretation about the assertion to mean Papa Adom is a Messiah. He is not and has continuously shown his parents, home town and siblings. So people should disabuse their minds about the wrong impression.

2) “… he states that in the next five hundred years, his picture will replace the face of the ‘Jesus picture’ which is widely known in the world”
The authors of the press statement on the assertion of Papa Adom's picture replacing "Jesus picture" on calendars or portrait hung in people's rooms, cars, churches, offices etc is unfounded and has exposed weakness in the acclaimed Christian leadership. Are the authors saying that it is a real Jesus picture on the calendars or portraits to be bothered that someone’s picture is said to replace it? We believe you know that it is not.
The authors appear to have admitted that there are so called Jesus's faces of several pictures in calendars that people including probably their members using. The stack truth is that there are NO pictures of even any of the disciples of Jesus Christ in the Bible time let alone Jesus Himself. The faces of those people considered as Jesus Christ in the calendars or portraits are just actors without any called out and commissioned mandate in Christianity by Almighty God. But unfortunately for many years, generally, Christians have been noted to have strongly held the belief that the pictures are that of Jesus Christ.
Sadly it appears, Christian leaders have looked on for their church members to even make such pictures as objects of worship in their rooms and churches. That is why the authors of the publication have issues that Papa Adom’s face would replace the pictures they adore. Otherwise, can you just imagine some of the purported signatories in authoring the publication are some Orthodox Churches with statues of Jesus Christ, Mary, Apostle Paul, Peter etc making their members think they are real and recognize them as objects of worship? Paradoxically, the publication pointed out in other paragraphs that the said pictures on calendars or portraits hung in rooms are not that of Jesus Christ. Over the years such Christian leaders have never issued publication to admonish even Orthodox Churches to desist from having statues and images purported to be Bible characters. Could this be seen as double standards by the authors?
Why should the authors worry that Papa Adom’s face will replace the face on people’s calendars, if you now recognize that such pictures are NOT the real faces of Jesus Christ? Please don't let Christians be misled.
If the Christian leaders being authors truthfully think that the faces of the actors on the Christian calendars or portraits are not real pictures of Jesus Christ so you have now admonished your members not worship such figures, then please do not worry that Papa Adom’s face will replace those figures. It will only be a memorial similar to Mary Magdalene’s stewardship being commemorated- Mtt 26:7,10,13.
Now let’s ask the Christian leaders to ponder over these questions.
A. What is the Christian leaders’ actual problem about Papa Stephen Adom Kyei-Duah’s face (picture) replacing that of the misrepresented picture of Jesus Christ?
B. Or is it that the Christian leaders did NOT know that the supposed Jesus Christ image on churches and other Christian’s’ calendars or portraits is not the real picture of the Lord?
C. If the Christian leaders knew the truth that it is not the real picture of Jesus, why is that all these years they failed woefully to issue a press statement to advise Christians and the public against using such portrait pictures or images on calendars to hung in their homes, churches, offices and cars etc?

A number Christians feel very disheartened to note that there has been a widespread publication that the persons’ pictures and images considered to be Jesus pictures seen on calendars or portraits are not really that of our Lord Jesus Christ. We refer to some publications on this issue including the Fox News July 6, 2023, indicated that James Patrick Caviezel, the actor who played Jesus Christ in the movie The Passion of the Christ was struck by lightning while being filmed in that role. This actor’s face is being used as Jesus portrait hung in people’s room, churches etc.
A Wordpress article also indicates as follows:
WordPress publication dated February 16, 2022, the Actor Robert Powell who played the character, Jesus, in the 1977 movie, Jesus of Nazareth, has said that “his photos are hung in churches, homes, cars, schools, offices and many holy grottos all over the world to drive off evil forces and attract good fortunes.”
However, Powell has cried out in the social media that “he is not Jesus and that people should stop worshiping him. Rather, they should respect the true Jesus and worship God.” His is among the most trending stories on social media in January 2016.
In his words: “I never cease to say and I repeat it to the world since 1977. I am not Jesus Christ, I am just an actor and a British comedian. I am tired of seeing my photos displayed in places of worship and other places for worship. I just make a film for a living. Burn my picture and worship the only God in truth for God is a Spirit! I am just an actor… Jesus is Lord!”
Deuteronomy 4:15 & 16 – “Lest ye corrupt yourselves, and make you a graven image, the similitude of any figure, the likeness of male or female”.
What is a graven image?
Graven image is a material effigy, statue, metal, wood, sculpture that is worshipped as a god which is IDOLATRY a HENIOUS crime before God!!!”.
From the above it means that the people’s “Jesus” picture has never been the real image of Jesus Christ, but that of actors not even clergymen. But the Christian leaders failed to know and tell us the truth all this while. Even when the truth was revealed in the Wordpress publication since 2016, sadly the Christian leaders kept the Christian community in darkness about the truth.
Considering the faithful and outstanding work, it is better for a picture of a great servant of God like Papa Stephen Adom Kyei Duah to replace that of the actors, as just a memorial. It will be in accordance with Mtt 26:13.
From the Wordpress article, the actor has rather been bold to request that people pull down all his pictures on documents, calendars or portraits hung in their offices, rooms, churches or cars and burn them. The Christian leaders failed to ask their followers to do same. He who knows the right thing to do and fails to do is a SIN as stated in Jms 4:17
But if the Christian leaders failed to issue a press statement all this while to request their followers to pull down such pictures of the actors, probably because they think that such pictures can be a memorial about Jesus Christ, then they should sincerely admit that Papa Stephen Adom Kyei-Duah’s picture can replace that of the actor’s.

We humbly request the Christian leaders (authors) to be patient with Papa Adom and know that all his Christian ministry is totally based on the Bible truth.
We also respectfully suggest to the Christian leaders to apologize to Papa Stephen Adom Kyei Duah for wrongfully tarnishing hid hard won reputation in the Lord.
We further request that they retract their press statement from circulations, and apologize to the Christian community for failing to do what is rightfully required of them.
