*what should we do after completing phonics sounds for each letter?
*what to teach before we start teaching cvc or 3 letter words?
Children learn all phonics sounds easily ,as we taught them with rhymes ,story and some activities.But when coming to blending they are not able to blend sounds to form a word.
steps to be followed before start teaching blending
1.Before starting to teach any three three letter word ,we should check whether they are aware of all letter sounds.
2.For blending the child has to hold the individual sounds in their mind as the word is created,this can done through simple activities.
3.Before we start with blending the child has to find out intial sound for every word.Like the word apple has /a/ sound in it,bus have /b/ sound in it.
4.Then we should teach them two letter words like (GO,US,IN...) and also u have teach word family like AT ,IN ,AP words together(cat,bat,rat,mat)
5.Now the child ready to blend mixed group of sounds in any three letter word.we can play a "TAKE AWAY" game,where the child has take away the inital sound and tell remaining sound( “Say the word sun” (child repeats sun). “Now say it without the sss sound” (un) . . . say the word boy, now say it without the /b/ sound (oy).”
6.Then slowely we can teach them initial blends like cl,bl,st,fl,cr this will help the child to move on with four letter words.
