Dealing with children through communication can really be stressfull.
Always have positive language with them . children are also emotional.

I often see parents/guardians restrict their kids from the use of scissors...but you know what .. scissors activity is good for children ages 3 and above.
In montessori under practical life /activity for everyday living....we practice the scissors activity.
1.Guide children by telling them that scissors ✂️ is a sharp object and must be handled with care.
2.Teach children to freely cut..
3. As they progress in their free cut,then you assist them in cutting through lines.
This activity
1.helps their hand to eye coordination.
2.Helps improve their concentration level
3.Develop their finger grips which helps in writing.
4.Makes them learn to be independent.

*MUST READ* I would like to expose a situation. If your children (or grandchildren) don't learn to play with children with special needs at school and have never been taught that not everyone is equal, maybe you should spend 10 minutes tonight to explain it to them, because although they don't currently live with these children at school, they will find them in their lives for sure.
In light of recent events regarding the exclusion of a child with autism from attending a school trip and a child with Down Syndrome being expelled from dance class because she couldn't keep up with it, I feel the need to share this. There are boys and girls that no one invites to birthday parties. There are special children who want to be part of a team but are not selected because it's more important to win than to include these children. Kids with special needs aren't weird , they just want what everyone wants: to be accepted!
Can I ask a question? Is there anyone willing to copy and paste this post on their wall without sharing it, like I did, for all the special children out there?

*what to teach before we start teaching cvc or 3 letter words?

Children learn all phonics sounds easily ,as we taught them with rhymes ,story and some activities.But when coming to blending they are not able to blend sounds to form a word.

steps to be followed before start teaching blending

1.Before starting to teach any three three letter word ,we should check whether they are aware of all letter sounds.

2.For blending the child has to hold the individual sounds in their mind as the word is created,this can done through simple activities.

3.Before we start with blending the child has to find out intial sound for every word.Like the word apple has /a/ sound in it,bus have /b/ sound in it.

4.Then we should teach them two letter words like (GO,US,IN...) and also u have teach word family like AT ,IN ,AP words together(cat,bat,rat,mat)

5.Now the child ready to blend mixed group of sounds in any three letter word.we can play a "TAKE AWAY" game,where the child has take away the inital sound and tell remaining sound( “Say the word sun” (child repeats sun). “Now say it without the sss sound” (un) . . . say the word boy, now say it without the /b/ sound (oy).”

6.Then slowely we can teach them initial blends like cl,bl,st,fl,cr this will help the child to move on with four letter words.
