To celebrate Labour Day, the staff of Gold Avenue School hosted Homebase Television for a day of fun and friendly games.

🏐 The event kicked off with a volleyball match which was preceded by word of prayer from Pst Nartey (Arena of Divine Freedom Worldwide).
After losing the first set, the staff of GAS maintained their composure and bounced back. Two consecutive wins ensured they won the volleyball competition.

⚽️ The football match was fierce and entertaining. Isco opened the scoring in just 10 seconds of play with a long range strike from the centre line.
Another goal from Uncle Enoch gave GAS a comfortable 2-0 lead. Homebase scored one just before halftime to give them a glimmer of hope.
After the break, Uncle Enoch got his brace, making it 3-1. But this lead didn’t last long as Homebase pulled parity and eventually took the lead with a 3-4 scoreline.
With time running out, GAS were desperate for a comeback to maintain their 100% record. Chances upon chances were being squandered as there looked to be no way back from them. With a last minute set piece awarded, Gilardino dragged GAS by the scruff of their neck to a 4-4 draw from the free kick.
(It is worthy to note that the staff of GAS have never lost a football match in regular time)

Finally, there were fierce competitions in Ludo, Spa(cards), FIFA 26 and Draught. Homebase Television had the edge in some of these indoor games.

It was a memorable occasion and we look forward to the PRESIDENT’S CUP that will include parents, alumni and all companies of Mr. And Mrs. Afriyie.
