GTC Empowers Professionals to Deliver Impact in Donor-Funded Projects

On Wednesday, 8th April, 2026 GIMPA Training and Consulting officially commenced two impactful training programs: World Bank Procurement and Contract Management under Donor-Funded Programs and World Bank Financial Management and Disbursement Procedures for Donor-Funded Projects.

Participants from Nigeria and Ghana are currently engaged in this intensive 8-day training, which is designed to strengthen their expertise in procurement, contract administration, financial management, and disbursement processes in line with World Bank standards.

The program aims to build capacity for effective management of donor-funded projects while promoting transparency, accountability, and compliance.

In his welcome remarks, the Director of GTC, Prof. Kenneth Ofori-Boateng, emphasized the importance of building strong institutional capacity and ensuring that professionals are well-equipped with the practical knowledge and skills required to successfully manage donor-funded initiatives.

GTC and CDABI-GH Advance AML Training and Compliance Agenda

Today, 30th March, 2026, the GIMPA Training and Consulting team, led by the Ag. Director, Prof. Kenneth Ofori-Boateng, met with the Chamber of Digital Assets and Blockchain Innovation (CDABI-GH) delegation, led by the president, Mr. Caleb Kwaku Afaglo, at GIMPA for some strategic discussions.

A key highlight of the engagement was the proposed Anti Money Laundering (AML) Officer Training and Awareness Program, aimed at institutionalizing structured capacity-building within the digital asset and financial services environment.

The initiative will equip compliance officers, risk managers, and operational leaders with advanced skills in AML/CFT compliance, blockchain transaction monitoring and analytics, digital asset risk assessment, governance, reporting, and supervisory engagement.

Prof. Kenneth Ofori-Boateng reaffirmed GIMPA’s commitment to supporting this important initiative.

Strengthening Capacity for National Development: GTC–PPAG Training Successfully Ends

GIMPA Training and Consulting (GTC), in collaboration with the Planned Parenthood Association of Ghana (PPAG), successfully concluded a 4-day Executive Certificate Course on the Impact of Sexual and Reproductive Health on National Development on Friday, 27th March 2026.

The training brought together 30 participants, primarily from the health sector, who were taken through key topics on sexual and reproductive health and its critical role in driving national development.

The program was highly impactful, equipping participants with valuable insights and practical knowledge to inform policy, practice, and advocacy. It is expected that the training will contribute significantly to improved outcomes within their respective institutions and communities.

Participants expressed their appreciation to GIMPA and PPAG for organizing such a timely and relevant program.

GTC Launches Maiden Online Training Programs

On Sunday, 28th September 2025, GIMPA Training and Consulting (GTC) launched its first fully online training programs for students and non-students of the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA).

After eight weeks of engaging virtual sessions, participants were awarded their certificates last Friday.

This initiative is an important step forward for GIMPA Training and Consulting, as our training programs have predominantly been delivered through onsite training.

The courses offered were:
• Certificate in Global Health
• Certificate in Public Health Leadership and Administration
• Monitoring and Evaluation for Health Program

The online format provided flexibility, nationwide access, cost savings, and interactive learning, enabling participants to balance their commitments while gaining practical, career-enhancing skills.

A total of 130 participants registered for the courses.

It a Wrap for the February 2026 Health Administration and Management (HAM) program

Last Friday, the Health Administration and Management (HAM) program — a collaboration between GIMPA Training and Consulting (GTC) and the Ghana Health Service — successfully wrapped up after four impactful weeks.

Designed for health workers across the country, the program combined classroom sessions, practical case studies, and a field trip to strengthen leadership and management capacity.

The Ag. Director of GTC, Prof. Kenneth Ofori-Boateng, commended participants at the closing ceremony. The participants also expressed appreciation for the engaging and insightful experience.

GIMPA Training and Consulting Organizes Capacity-Building Workshop for its Staff

As part of efforts to strengthen staff capacity and enhance organizational effectiveness, the GIMPA Training and Consulting (GTC) Directorate today, organized a one-day capacity-building workshop for its staff to support the attainment of the Directorate’s strategic targets for this year and beyond.

The workshop focused on unearthing innovative ideas in marketing, strengthening brand awareness, promoting new and existing programs, and exploring viable consultancy service initiatives to expand GTC’s reach and visibility.

The team, led by the Director of GTC, Prof. Kenneth Ofori Boateng, participated in a series of engaging and practical sessions facilitated by Mr. Daniel Boakye, a seasoned senior consultant with the World Bank.

The sessions encouraged strategic thinking, collaboration, and idea-sharing, equipping staff with practical tools to enhance brand positioning, improve programs promotion, and strengthen client engagement.

GIMPA Training and Consulting Begins Customized Public Administration Training for the Chief Justice of Ghana

GIMPA Training and Consulting (GTC) has commenced a customized Public Administration training program for the Chief Justice of Ghana, His Lordship Justice Paul Baffoe-Bonnie. The customised program is designed to strengthen strategic leadership, institutional governance, and administrative effectiveness within the Office of the Chief Justice and the wider Judicial Service.

Structured into eight intensive sessions, the training integrates practical insights, policy-oriented frameworks, and leadership-focused perspectives tailored to the unique demands of high-level judicial administration.

At the end of the training, the Chief Justice’s office is expected to benefit from enhanced decision-making, improved public sector management practices, and strengthened institutional coordination.

To ensure the highest quality delivery, GTC has assembled a team of seasoned facilitators with extensive expertise in public administration, governance, and leadership development.

As part of the program, His Lordship Justice Paul Baffoe-Bonnie was received by the Chair of the GIMPA Governing Council, Prof. Yaw Agyeman Badu; the Deputy Rector of GIMPA, Prof. Ebenezer Adaku; the Secretary of the Institute, Dr. Victoria Kunbour; and the Director of GTC, Prof. Kenneth Ofori-Boateng, among many other officials.

Strategic Engagement on Strengthening ESRM Training & Partnerships

GIMPA Training and Consulting (GTC), TRECK–KNUST, and The World Bank yesterday, convened a strategic meeting at GIMPA to review progress on the Environmental and Social Risk Management (ESRM) programme and explore new opportunities for growth and collaboration.

Discussions focused on repositioning ESRM as a, practical, and industry-focused programme, expanding its reach across the sub-region, and strengthening engagement with the private sector.

Participants also reviewed proposed new ESRM Essentials courses, the Deep Dives schedule, and a long-term vision for establishing a Centre of Excellence on Environmental and Social Development.

Together, the partners agreed on clear action points to enhance marketing, accelerate approvals, and ensure effective delivery of upcoming ESRM and Deep Dives programmes.
