We are excited to announce a new partnership between Soronko Academy and The Fair Justice Initiative to create new pathways of opportunity for young inmates through technology and digital skills.
The Fair Justice Initiative provides legal representation and support for the less fortunate. They advocate for prison reform and respect for the rights of inmates in Ghana.
As part of this partnership, we will train 10 boys at the Senior Correctional Centre (SCC) in Coding and AI Literacy over six weeks.
The SCC, under the Ghana Prisons Service, plays an important role in rehabilitating and preparing young people for successful reintegration into society through education, counseling, and vocational training.
At Soronko Academy, we believe that access to technology and digital skills can open doors to new possibilities, regardless of where someone is in their journey.
Through this six-week programme, the boys will gain practical exposure to coding, artificial intelligence, digital skills, and the opportunities emerging in the future of work. More importantly, we hope to equip them with skills, confidence, and a new perspective on what is possible for their future.
This initiative is about more than learning to code. It is about second chances, dignity, opportunity, and preparing young people to participate meaningfully in the digital economy.
We are grateful to the Fair Justice Initiative for partnering with us to make this possible, and we look forward to seeing the young participants learn, create, and discover new possibilities.
Together, we can use technology to create pathways to rehabilitation, reintegration, and opportunity.
