Self Love Weekend

Love yourself financially.

I recently realized that when I was liquid ( have money) as opposed to being broke; there was a spring in my step. My mood was so much better. The Akans have a proverb - sika y3 mogya; meaning money is blood giving you life. This haircut business disclosed that most of us are not investment diversified although we hear daily not to put all our eggs in one basket when it comes to investment.

As we enter into 2023; let’s plan to better use our money. The 50:30:20 rule is easy and you can try that out. 50% goes to your needs. That is tithes, car payment, mortgage/rent, groceries, utilities etc. 30% is for chilling. This is your entertainment such as dinning out, entertaining, hobbies, travel or saving up to travel etc. The last 20% s for investment ie your emergency fund, retirement fund etc. But please diversify your investments.

My task for you - Let us start budgeting and tracking your expenses.

Monday Motivation - Visualize your growth

Visualize where you want to go. Visualize what you want. Please don’t limit yourself. Think BIG. Remember to add this to your daily routine. Make a vision board. I am happy to support you with that. Believe in yourself. You have what it takes. You are enough. You are equipped. If you need a certain skill, you are capable of getting it. And remember to take a step towards your goal today.

I am moving different because I want different. Do you feel stuck? If yes- my question to you is what are you doing about it. You can’t do the same old things and expect different results. Stop procrastinating. Enroll for that course. Update your CV. Take that vacation. Start your side hustle. Take that first step today. Don’t be afraid of change. Neither be afraid of the unknown. If you have the dream, go for it. You are more than capable.

As the year draws to an end. Revisit your objectives for the year. Is there anything undone that can be done? Yes you can. A few more weeks to go. I am writing an exam before the end of the year.
