Pru West Students Sit On Bare Floor To Study Due To Lack Of Desks.

Students of Abeasi Komfokrom Presbyterian Junior High School in Pru West District of Bono East Region sit on bare floor to study due to the lack of furniture for the school

The head teacher of the school who prefer to remain unnamed said the school block was handed over in 2010 without furniture and since then the student have difficulty to study during teaching and learning.

'The classroom block was handed over without a single furniture. The lack of furniture is not only affecting students but also the teachers who do not have teachers' tables and chairs to sit on and mark children's exercises.

We find it difficult to mark class works and assignments. According to him all pleas to the Pru West District Assembly to provide the school with furniture failed.

The teachers and students, therefore are appealing to the government, their Member of Parliament for the area, Stephen Jalullah as well as non-governmental organizations and philanthropists to come to their aid as the situation is affecting their studies negatively.
