In his remarks, the Director emphasized the importance of the event’s theme, “Innovating for a brighter future: Empowering girls and young people through education and technology.” He highlighted that Ghana is at a critical stage in its digital transformation journey, and the collaborative efforts of stakeholders such as CAMFED are vital in ensuring that no learner especially girls in underserved communities is left behind. He further noted that CAMFED’s model of mentorship, scholarships, and leadership development continues to produce young women who are contributing meaningfully to national development.
Prof. Mumin also reflected on the productive partnership between CENDLOS and CAMFED, particularly the joint production of the Ghana She Heroes Documentary Series, a 14-episode initiative showcasing inspiring stories of young women and Learner Guides who are leading change within their communities. He reaffirmed CENDLOS’s commitment to strengthening this collaboration to enhance digital literacy, expand access to educational resources, and support innovative teaching and learning solutions nationwide.
The Executive Director also presented an award to one of CAMFED’s outstanding tertiary-level clients. The award recognized the student’s exceptional academic performance, leadership, and dedication to community service, qualities that embody CAMFED’s vision of nurturing a new generation of female leaders. The gesture also symbolized the strong institutional support for young women who strive for excellence despite socio-economic barriers.
The 2025 CAMFED Stakeholders Meeting reaffirmed the critical role of collaboration and innovation in shaping the future of girls’ education in Ghana. The participation of the CENDLOS Executive Director further strengthened the partnership between the two institutions.
