At the National Digital Education Conference organized by afiDE Ghana, the Executive Director of CENDLOS, Professor Diyawu Mumin, delivered a compelling keynote address on the theme “Building the Future of Digital Education Together.”

He began by commending afiDE Ghana for its successful rebranding and unwavering commitment to advancing digital learning in Ghana. According to him, the future of education depends on strong partnerships among government, private sector, schools, and communities. No single institution can achieve the needed transformation alone.

Professor Mumin emphasized that school leaders are the true change makers in this journey, noting that their vision and leadership determine whether technology becomes a transformative tool or remains underutilized. He highlighted CENDLOS’s major initiatives, including the iBox, Learning Passport, and continuous teacher training programmes which are all designed to make digital learning inclusive and accessible to every learner across Ghana.

He also applauded afiDE Ghana’s sustainable model of establishing computer labs, training teachers, and offering ongoing technical support, a practical demonstration of how collaboration drives real progress.

The Executive Director further outlined five key pillars for the success of digital education: visionary leadership, teacher capacity development, infrastructure and access, relevant local content, and strong stakeholder collaboration. He reaffirmed CENDLOS dedication to strengthening these pillars through innovation, partnerships, and policy support.

In closing, Professor Diyawu Mumin urged all school leaders to champion digital transformation within their schools, reminding them that the true future of digital education will be built in classrooms and not boardrooms.
