As the year 2022 comes to an end, may endless smiles fill our homes. I would like to on behalf of faculty and staff, thank all Alumni for the support and active participation on the page.

May the birth of Christ bring us true meaning to reflect on our purpose in life. Let us share love and not hatred. May our Christmas be filled with joy, love, and endless smiles.

I truly hope that the ensuing 2023 year would open up success in our professional, academic and research pursuits, that will impact societies and solve global challenges.

Mr. Larry Amekuse- Program Director/Deputy Country Director, ASNAPP of was our guest speaker at our special lecture for our graduate (L600) and undergraduate (L400) students on April 17 and 23, 2022 at the Department of Agricultural Extension.

He spoke on the topic; Raising funds for sustainable industries, highlighted on some key industries and companies that have been supported by government’s 1D1F policy through Exim Bank. The lecture also touched on important advantages of situating industries and firms in the country. Consultancy, planning and management of such industries was also highlighted on.

Mr. Chief Agtuahene, Branch Manager at Fidelity Bank Ghana Ltd, joined Mr. Larry on April 21 to talk about financing NGOs and other organizations from financial institutions together with some requirements. The focus discussion was on managing NGO in the face of dwindling donor funds. Students and invited faculty members had the opportunity to interact and exchange knowledge.

On Tuesday, 10th May, 2022, final year students of the Department visited Point Hope Ghana - a Non-Governmental Organization located at Budumburam near Liberia Camp to have a practical understanding of the management and financial operations of NGOs.

There was a brief presentation about the NGO followed with visits to some projects sites the NGO is currently undertaking. Students had the opportunity to dialogue with Staff and volunteers of the Organization to broaden the experiences and knowledge of the students.

We are grateful to Point Hope Ghana for their warm reception and good works in empowering and supporting needy societies.

We were honored to have the Director of the Directorate of Agricultural Extension at the Ministry of Food and Agriculture speak at our seminar series on the topic; The State of Public Extension Delivery in Ghana.

The knowledge, insight and commitment to the rapid digitalization and development of the country extension delivery service shared at the Seminar was impactful.

The students, staff and faculty are grateful. We will continue to collaborate for development in our agricultural space.
