If there were problems and hard decisions to make to achieve new paradigms, there would be no need for leaders. Effective leaders take decisions and solve development problems. It was President Truman who said the buck stopped with him. He was the leader of the world’s biggest democracy. Leadership at certain times is a lonely job and more so when one has to take critical and sometimes life-and-death decisions.
