wrapped up its participation in this year’s Ghana Investment and Trade Week with a strong contribution to the conversation on education, skills development and industry readiness.

As part of today’s closing session, Engr. Emile Kofi Bosiako Ofori, Founder and President of Galeed Institute, delivered a presentation on bridging the gap between industry and the classroom.

His presentation highlighted the importance of aligning education and skills training with industry needs, practical experience, innovation and real opportunities for young people. He also emphasised the need for stronger collaboration between training institutions, industry players and other stakeholders to better prepare learners for the world of work.

For Galeed Institute, participating in this year’s event provided another opportunity to showcase our projects and programs, engage key stakeholders, and strengthen partnerships that support skills development, innovation and national development.

We are grateful for the meaningful conversations, connections and insights gained throughout the event, and we look forward to building on these engagements for lasting impact.

The GROW (Galeed Reskilling for Opportunity and Work) initiative had trainees dive into intensive troubleshooting, opening laptops to examine circuit boards with microscopes and other specialized tools—their enthusiasm was truly rewarding. Over days two and three, participants immersed themselves in advanced diagnostics and hands-on fault-finding, disassembling machines and using precision instruments; seeing their focused, eager faces was deeply satisfying and showed strong skill growth and practical confidence.

Yesterday, June 22, 2026, our 2nd cohort of Galeed Reskilling for Opportunity & Work (GROW) kicked off amid high hopes from participants. GROW provides targeted scholarships for practical, hands-on training that meet current labour market needs. The program builds human capital, enhances employability, and promotes inclusive economic growth by equipping beneficiaries with skills that lead to real jobs, entrepreneurship, and sustainable livelihoods. Everyone was excited as the training dove straight into practical activities.
