Life Lessons on the Highway π£οΈ
If we understand life from natureβs perspective, we would be soft on ourselves, adjust ourselves and strive for the best!
It has been raining all day in my neighborhood and each time I get on the road, one thing is certain; all vehicles are moving slower than usual. Upon several introductions, I have come to the conclusion that, the highway is no different from life as clemency weather wasnβt peculiar to anyone just as life is. I have therefore decided to share my thoughts with you.
The foggy weather made it difficult for drivers to see where they would have normally seen in a clear day. This doesnβt mean that all vehicles were moving at the same speed. Those who were moving faster were vehicles with good weather controls; wiper blades to wipe off water at least at the front glasses, or risky drivers who didnβt care about safety.
In real life, others are born and bred in communities where there is βno lightβ; no one is educated on other cultures and world views. They would be left with no option but to make decisions based on what they know. In terms of development, in areas without electricity, plowable roads, portable water, accessible and affordable health care, amongst other social services, thereβs limitations on the quality of life that people in those areas can enjoy.
Just as with the type of drivers who performed better on the road, it is same with life. People born to parents who had at least secondary education or enough natural resources are more likely to have enough resources; financial to mentoring to navigate their lives better than first generation scholars like myself who basically had to figure out everything by ourselves. But did we really figure everything by ourselves? Definitely NOT! There was a school, teachers, and other community members who guided us through. These people are the wiper blades of the vehicles. Similarly, the risky drivers are those people who are risk takers and outliers who have taught themselves everything from scratch.
Understand and appreciate others. You arenβt too slow nor too fast. Nature is determining your pace.
I know the lessons are endless. Feel free to add yours, comment or leave a question.
