WASSCE 2022 Candidates to write serialized objective test papers
Ghana Education News in WASSCE EXAMS
4 - 5 minutes
The 2022 WASSCE for school candidates will see the introduction of serialized objective test papers when the main examination starts on September 1, 2022. The serialized objective test papers are expected to help curb examination malpractices.
While speaking with an Accra-based Atinka TV, WAC Kofi Cyril, Head of Humanities and Languages Department revealed that with the objective test questions serialization is just one of the numerous strategies being implemented in the 2022 WASSCE.
FAQs: What is objective test questions serialization?
Objective test questions serialization is the process of testing students with the same set of questions however, candidates have the same questions scrambled so that they do not have the same question numbered the same way. This way, candidate A may have his or her question 1 being question 16 of candidate B and number 48 for candidate C in that order. “this year’s WASSCE for School objective questions are similar, but with varied positions.”
It is important to add that BECE candidates will have the same new serialization of questions in October 2022.
Examination question leakages continue to be a headache for WAEC and other stakeholders. Reacting to this, Madam Agnes Teye, who is the WAEC Head of Public Affairs is confident that WAEC has put in all the right efforts and that the council’s security protocols point has been taken care hence any leakage problems would be easy to trace when the papers leave their outfit.

WASSCE question leaking syndicates have been registering candidates for between GHS100 and GHS150.00 with the promise to furnish them with Examination Questions and Solutions several hours before the examination.
It is hoped that WAEC will foil all the efforts of such syndicates to help restore some lost integrity of its examination.
Those guarding the exam papers are on duty 24 hours a day, according to WAEC. These stringent measures are expected to help prevent any cheating.
“Strict security presence is assured through the value chain before the papers get to the students. WAEC maintains will guarantee the safety and no compromise of the examination papers leaking,” Head of Public Affairs – WAEC, Agnes Teye said.
It is the hope of all right-thinking members of society that when WASSCE 2022 candidates write the serialized objective test papers, it prevents all leakages.
