World Book Day 2025

🌱 We've had lots of fun sharing our books, dressing up, exploring story sacks/trays, getting creative and going on a bear hunt in the garden to celebrate world book day.

🌿 As well as all the books we've brought in from home we've also focused on some of our other preschool favourites. 'Aliens love underpants', 'The tiger who came to tea', We're going on a bear hunt' and 'The three little pigs'.

🐾 Here are some of the many benefits of exploring stories:

We are very excited to be offering our first “stay and play” session at Little Bears Nature Nursery , St Saviours Community Centre on Saturday 15th March 2-3:30pm.

🌿 These sessions are an opportunity for families looking to enrol at our Nursery site.

🌱 Parents can stay and play with their child and meet some of the team.

🐻 We offer a 1:5 ratio across four rooms , and are lucky to have large natural and grassed outdoor learning areas , complimented by nearby nature walks.

🐻 We are working closely together with Floral St Saviours this year to introduce our own planting and growing areas onsite .

🐻 This year we celebrate 24 years of providing our very best care and education to our islands children.

Congratulations our Little Bears team members Claire and Sharon on this amazing partnership with the Guernsey Sports Commission.

Fizzy Fish Swimmers and the Sports Commission are delighted to be working in partnership to run a pilot project targeted at children who cannot swim and where cost is a potential barrier to them learning this important life skill.

These sessions will work alongside school swimming lessons.

We are going to be starting after Easter with a small group from Amherst Primary School, but if funding and access to suitable swimming pools is secured, we will look to expand the pilot to other schools in future.

🌱 Due to popular demand we are excited to be offering additional Mini Explorer Holiday Club places during Easter and Summer school holidays for little ones aged 3-6 years. We expect these places to fill very fast !

🌿 Our availability is :-

🌻 Monday, Wednesday & Fridays

🪵 Tuesday & Thursdays

🐞 Or All Week !

We also have an additional 3 “Fun Friday” spaces remaining.

Activities will include nature walks, art and design, sensory play, sports and “be active” activities and much more!

The minimum hours booking requirements are 830-230pm and we are able to extend these hours to between 8-4pm.
