After having recently had a pigeon nest in our nursery garden, we organised a visit from Rod who came to talk to the children about all kinds birds and show them how different birds make their nests. Along with some amazing photos. The children had a lot of knowledge about birds to share too. 🪺

This week we have had a super busy week at Willow;

All rooms enjoyed the Teddy Bears Picnic on Tuesday as we read the story of “We’re going on a Bear Hunt and explored the different tuff trays along the way. 🐻

Thursday Saplings enjoyed a visit to the KGV Go Wild event help by the Health Improvement Commission where we explored different areas of the nature trail and had a go at making our own healthy snack. 🐞 🐛 🐜

Friday Sprouts and Saplings had a visit from Kirsti who works at Vets for Pets who talked to us about what they do for their job and let the children have a turn at putting bandages on their teddy’s. 🐈 🐕

We’ve had a busy week here at Willow learning about life cycles. 🍃

Saplings have enjoyed learning about the life cycle of a butterfly and watching our caterpillars turn to chrysalises and now beginning to hatch. 🦋

Everyone has also enjoyed seeing the baby pigeons that have hatched in the nest above our Nursery Shed. 🐣
