Make sure to visit Torteval Scarecrow Festival this weekend to see the entry from our reception children. They had so much fun working as a team to put together their entry based on one of their favourite stories, 'The Scarecrows' Wedding' by Julia Donaldson. Well done reception - a fantastic effort! Betty O'Barley and her handsome groom, Harry O'Hay look like they've had a wonderful time celebrating their wedding - time for a sit down!

We ended this year in the best way possible with a fantastic Y6 Leavers evening performance and followed this morning by a wonderful Celebration assembly. So lovely to see children beaming and feeling proud of their achievements in and outside of school. Another great year at La Mare. Thank you to everyone who has been part of it. Have a great summer!

We held our annual PTA sponsored swim this morning, despite the windy weather. The children took part enthusiastically, as always, swimming as many widths of the pool as they could to raise funds for the PTA and earn house points for their team. It was great to see so many parents and carers there to support another successful whole school event. Well done everyone.
