Let's Make Pasta 🍝 - only a couple of places left!

This two-hour hands-on course gives participants an introduction to making fresh pasta from scratch. This session covers dough preparation, rolling, cutting, filling and cooking. By the end, attendees will gain practical skills in making fresh pasta and will also leave with two delicious handmade pasta dishes to take home and enjoy.

Motor Vehicle Advanced Diagnostic Testing 🛻

Due to unforeseen circumstances, we have a few last minute spaces on this one-day course this Saturday. A great opportunity for qualified technicians/apprentices within the motor vehicle industry. This training will be delivered by Darren Quinn of who has a fantastic reputation and following in the sector. Darren started his career as a BMW technician and is also a former VW Audi academy trainer. He specialises in electrical and electronic diagnostic training including interpreting wiring diagrams and use of diagnostic tools.

Introduction to Jewellery Making 💍 Could this be for you?

Would you be interested in this 10-week course (two hours per week)?

We are currently planning our Adult and Community Learning programme for next term and beyond and we want to gauge levels of interest in a beginners' jewellery making programme.

By the end of the course you will have an understanding of metal jewellery making and knowledge of tools required for metal working plus you will have created a small collection of copper jewellery.

We were delighted to welcome trainee teachers from the Lincoln Bishop University recently. The group collaborated with a variety of staff from across TGI College, observing lessons, speaking with our teams and finding our more about working and teaching in Guernsey. These visits and collaborative programmes support trainee teachers from both organisations and is a vital part of the study programme, observing peers in a different setting.

Applications are now open for our new Master’s in Leadership programmes, starting September 2026*.

Delivered through TGI University Centre, these programmes are designed to help professionals develop the knowledge, confidence and skills to lead, plan and deliver services in dynamic workplace settings.

Students can choose from three pathways:

Master’s in Leadership
• Advanced Clinical Practice
• Operational and Strategic
• Professional Education

Modules available in the next academic year include leadership, wellbeing and inclusivity, coaching and mentoring, policy and strategy, teaching and assessment, and advanced clinical decision-making.

Inspiring creative futures!

A big shout out to Tara from Southside Inkz and Yas from Tanned by Yas for coming in to speak to our Aspire Level 1 Creative students recently.

Tara shared an honest and insightful look into her journey as a tattoo artist, bringing along examples of her work and demonstrating techniques — a real eye-opener for both students and staff.

Yas spoke about turning a passion into a successful business, highlighting just how powerful social media can be, no matter what industry you work in.
A huge thank you to both for inspiring our students and giving them a genuine insight into creative career pathways.

A big thank you to our student team for running another successful quiz night! The event raised an impressive £1,558 towards the students' end of year Summer Ball! 👏

A special thank you to Lily Q, who has been our wonderful host for three years running. We wish her the very best as she takes the next step in her learning journey next year!
