9hole par3 pitch and putt open everyday from april through to sept/oct depending on the weather. sub tropical gardens crammed with exotic and subtropical plants trees and shrubs including banana trees, tree ferns, lilies, hundreds of camellias, echiums, ginger lily , pal

m trees and groves of bamboos. an international sculpture festival running from may until october with art from around the world. crafts, souviners, and fair trade gifts can be purchased from our ancient barn converted into a souvenir shop. the tearoom at the manor with light refreshments coffees, teas, and icecreams etc. ride on train running weekends and school holidays from may/sep. manor house tours (see www.sausmarezmanor.co.uk ) for times or bookings. ghost tours most weeks on a thursday evening at 6.30pm (contact for booking essential)

Step inside a house filled with fascinating characters, remarkable treasures and centuries of history. Our guided house tours are brought to life by knowledgeable guides, each with their own unique style, stories and passions.

With a family history dating back to 1205 or earlier, Sausmarez Manor has been home to adventurers, diplomats, privateers, admirals, generals, inventors, politicians, prelates, colonial governors and artists.

Join us for an entertaining and personal 40-minute tour, and look out for:

✨ The nanny of 28 children
✨ The sofa used by the Queen Mother
✨ The father of the 28 children
✨ The first Royal Naval uniform
✨ The world’s greatest treasure ship ever captured

Nestled within the historic charm of Sausmarez Manor, Café Maeva Tearoom & Gardens offers a peaceful retreat surrounded by lush greenery and beautiful blooms.

Enjoy freshly brewed teas, aromatic coffees, homemade cakes and delicious light bites in our tranquil garden setting—the perfect place to relax while discovering Guernsey’s history and hospitality.

Opening hours
February–March:
Wednesday to Sunday, 10:00 am–4:00 pm

April–October:
Open daily, 10:00 am–5:00 pm

Parking
There are two main car parks, with overflow parking available in the field across the road on busy days.

Please note: there is no main parking behind the house. Two disabled parking spaces are available around the back of the house beneath the Magnolia Tree.

Available for bookings from 9 October 2026 through to March 2027, this unique holiday accommodation is set within the only privately owned historic house in the Channel Islands that is open to the public and offers holiday apartments.

Sausmarez Manor has been the seat of the Seigneur de Sausmarez since 1204 and is surrounded by 20 acres of beautiful gardens and farmland, including:

🌺 A stunning subtropical garden
🗿 One of Britain’s most established and varied sculpture parks

Enjoy a peaceful and memorable getaway surrounded by history, nature and character.

Come and take on the challenge at our beautiful Pitch & Putt course, tucked away in a stunning secluded valley.

Now in its 26th year, the course has been lovingly maintained and continuously improved to provide a fun but surprisingly tricky test for golfers of all ages and abilities.

Think you've got what it takes to conquer our elusive Par 3? Only a select few have managed it!
