The recent storms have left their mark on the Nature Trail.

It’s not all drawing rooms and sweeping lawns at Sausmarez Manor…
Running an 820-year-old estate means constant care behind the scenes — especially in the gardens. Ponds, pathways, planting, maintenance — there is always something that needs attention.
And sometimes, the quickest solution is simply to roll up your sleeves and do it yourself.
In this week’s video, Peter takes on pond maintenance in his own determined way — a small but very real glimpse into the day-to-day life of a working historic estate.
