🌊☀️ Beach Morning Fun! ☀️🌊

Jem and Loulou headed to the beach this morning with some of the Tweenies and had a wonderful time enjoying the sunshine and high tide!
They loved digging in the sand and exploring!

This week managers from nine Early Years settings in Guernsey and Alderney completed a four session management programme run by Mike Elward from Next Level Training The managers focused on staff behaviours and values, leadership styles including communication and influence, team dynamics and decision making. A few of the preschool children had a turn cutting their own apple as part of their snack today.

This hands-on activity supports the development of fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, and control when using tools safely. It also encourages independence, concentration, and confidence as children learn to manage everyday tasks for themselves! 🍎

What's in My Bag?! 🎒🎵

We enjoy this activity across all of our rooms! The children sit beautifully (as much as they can) and listen carefully as the staff sing our "What's in My Bag?" song. One by one, the children take turns pulling an item from the bag and then we all sing the matching song together!

This fun and engaging activity helps to develop listening skills, turn-taking, confidence, communication, and language, while bringing lots of smiles and laughter along the way! 😊🎵

The children had lots of fun exploring the park, taking in their surroundings and enjoying the fresh air. There were plenty of smiles, adventures, and even a few games of peek-a-boo with their hats! 🤣🧢

What a fun morning for our first group of preschool leavers at Upclimb! 🧗‍♀️✨

The children had a fantastic time challenging themselves, and building their confidence. There were lots of smiles, determination, and achievements throughout the session. A wonderful opportunity to develop balance, coordination, resilience, and independence while having lots of fun! 🌟
