🎹 🎨 We are delighted to be showcasing visual art alongside our upcoming recital by Jeneba Kanneh-Mason on Wednesday 4 February at St James.
We welcome Olympia McEwan and Michelle Stringer, two Guernsey artists who have created new work in response to music.
Olympia's work references Samuel Coleridge-Taylor, who was invited to Guernsey by the Guille-Alles Library in the late 1890s to conduct performances of his own "Hiawatha" and Elgar's "The Dream of Gerontius."
Michelle brings abstract artworks which translate piano music into a visual language of rhythm, resonance and emotion.
The artworks will be on display in St James, and audience members will have the chance to meet the artists after the concert. 100% of sales will go directly to the artists.
🎼 Concert: 19:00
🎫 Tickets: £10.70 | Free for Under 18s
