🎹 ✨ to the lyrical beauty of Fauré’s Nocturne No. 6 in D-flat major, from Victor Lim’s recital at St James.
Written during his love affair with Emma Bardac, Fauré takes us on an emotional journey in this Nocturne: he reportedly imagined the Simplon Tunnel (a railway track between Switzerland and Italy) whilst composing the piece.
With thanks to On Screen Creations for capturing the evening, and to Guernsey Arts and The Swallow 2018 Charitable Trust for their generous sponsorship.
