I'd like to introduce to you all our new staff member... Allana! 💛

Allana will be such a perfect addition to our team, I am so excited to have her on board.
I have worked with Allana previously, and know how much of a down to earth, and approachable person she is; and I cannot wait for you all to meet her, and if you have already met Allana, I am confident that you will agree with me.
Allana will be working with our younger age group, but I am sure you will all meet her soon if your child attends the hive!

Here is a little message from our fabulous Allana....

Hi!
I am Allana and I am very passionate about child care - I have worked in childcare since 2011!
I have worked with all age groups from 3 months old, up to Pre-School age.

I like to see myself as a very caring and approachable person, and I enjoy developing strong relationships and bonds with the children and families.

My favourite thing about working in childcare is watching how each child grows an develops, and watching their little personalities grow, and knowing that I have been part of their journey is very rewarding.

In my spare time I enjoy going for long walks, and spending time with my family.
I am a mum to 5 children - 4 sons, and 1 daughter. I also have 1 granddaughter and 1 grandson.

I can't wait to join such a fun and caring team!

..If you see Allana soon, please make sure you say hello! We are looking forward to welcoming in Allana soon!💛🐝

Queen Bees had a lovely time this morning, catching the public bus, heading to the cup and saucer, then visiting the museum!

our younger little bees loved exploring some citrus fruit today! 🍋🍊🍋‍🟩🍈💦

we love doing this sensory activity with the children, it provides so much for them.

🍋hands on interaction with different food groups can increase their curiosity, and be more open to trying new things!
🍊tasting different fruits (especially citrus, due to their extremely strong flavours and textures) is fantastic for children’s developing tastebuds. If they try strong flavours, it may make it easier/more natural to enjoy more food groups.
🍋‍🟩exploring with their hands provides so much sensory entertainment. Especially in babies, we are helping strengthen those hand muscles to lead to the next stages/steps what ever this may look like (every child is different) - EG; this may be to start using their hands to pull themselves to crawling, right up until they’re learning to hold a pencil. Those muscles in the hands are so important to develop, and being introduced to different textures and temperatures is the perfect way to do this.

they had the best time splashing! 💦

we’ve loved making some yummy snacks for our friends! 🐝 busy bees have in fact been very busy bees this morning!

some fun activities like this can really lead to so many healthy eating habits without even realising.
children making their food and watching the process happen, gives them a lot more confidence and interest to try it and taste it once it is ready! this is a great idea if you have any little ones that may find it difficult to try new foods, or potentially if you have children who tend to have comfort and safety foods, and you would like to branch out and get some more nutrients in them!

a simple oat ball giving lots of slow released carbs to give energy these little ones need for the day alongside a lovely measurement of fibre, made beautifully colourful with a splash of blueberries; looking more appealing as well as adding more nutrients (blueberries are so high in antioxidants). Adding the mashed banana again for more healthy balance, giving us lots of potassium, and to bind all of this together. Adding some NATURAL sweetener (honey, maple syrup, cinnamon) will add in a lovely hint of deliciousness. Please remember if using honey, do not add it into your creations if your child is under the age of 1.

Lots of lovely ideas can be found either with us, or anywhere online! 💛✨🐝

I'd like to introduce to you all our new member of staff, Rhianna! 💛

The minute I met Rhianna, I knew she would be the perfect fit for our team. Her bubbly, kind, and gentle nature is infectious - and I cannot wait for her to get stuck in, and put all of her beautiful traits into her work.
She is a true natural, and I just know you will all love her.

Here is a message from our lovely Rhianna...

Hi,
I am Rhianna and I’m a passionate childcare practitioner with coming up to 8 years of experience working with children of different ages and stages of development.

I love creating a safe, nurturing, and fun environment where children can grow in confidence, learn through play, and feel supported every day.

I’m a caring, enthusiastic, and approachable person who enjoys building strong relationships with both children and their families.

I have nearly 8 years of experience working in childcare, which alongside my Cache Level 3 qualification has given me a strong understanding of child development, communication, and the importance of creating engaging learning opportunities for every child. Throughout my experience, I have developed creativity, and a genuine passion for helping children thrive.

My favourite activity to do with children is sensory play. I love getting stuck in and exploring different textures, colours, and materials with them. Sensory play is not only lots of fun, but it also supports children’s development in so many ways, including communication, problem-solving, fine motor skills, creativity, and emotional regulation. Seeing children explore and learn through hands-on experiences is something I really enjoy.

My favourite thing about working in childcare is watching children grow in confidence and achieve new milestones. It’s incredibly rewarding being part of their development journey and knowing you’ve helped create positive experiences and memories for them. I also love how every day is different and full of excitement, laughter, and learning.

In my spare time, I enjoy chasing sunsets, spending time outdoors, and walking our Romanian rescue dog with my fiancée. I love being outside and making the most of fresh air and nature whenever I can. I also enjoy quality time with my loved ones.

Something else about me is that I’m a very positive and caring person who always tries to bring warmth and energy into everything I do. I’m passionate about creating meaningful connections with children and helping them feel happy, secure, and encouraged to be themselves.

Rhianna will be based on our bottom floor working with our younger age group, but when you see her please say hello! Welcome Rhianna 💛🐝
