We are incredibly proud to share that Ms Brooke was invited to a Garden Party at Buckingham Palace in recognition of her outstanding 30 years of volunteering and dedication to delivering the The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award to young people in Doncaster and Alderney.
Her commitment, encouragement, and passion have inspired many young people over the years, helping them build confidence, resilience, and life skills through the DofE programme.
This recognition is so well deserved, and we are honoured to have Ms Brooke as part of our school community.
Congratulations, Ms Brooke what an incredible achievement

Year 3 and 4’s Barbara Hepworth Sculptures
Year 3 and 4 completed an artist study on the British sculptor, Barbara Hepworth. We used clay to create our very own Hepworth inspired sculptures. Inspired by Hepworth, our clay models had holes so that nature could be seen through our models. We explored texture and shape, which involved smoothing and curving our clay. To extend our skills, we measured and carefully placed string inside of the holes.

Immersive Roman Day in Year 3 and 4
Year 3 and 4 enjoyed a wonderful immersive Roman Day. The children came into school in their fantastic Roman costumes, ready for a day of learning and fun. We all had Roman names for the day, which helped bring history to life and made everyone feel part of Ancient Rome. The children wrote on Roman tablets and styluses, practising their Latin spellings with great enthusiasm. Next, we learnt about Roman numerals and created our own Roman numeral clocks, showing brilliant concentration and careful thinking. We then made shields ready for our marching and learnt about mosaics before designing our own inspired patterns. Later, the children made bread and finally enjoyed a fruit feast with their homemade bread. To finish, they played Roman games such as noughts and crosses. We had so much fun.
