🌞 Mze Language School — founded by Alessandra, native US teacher. English for adults (B1–C1) & kids (A1–C1) in Tbilisi and online.

Confidence, fluency & real progress.

Most people don’t stop learning a language because it’s hard.

They stop because they’re afraid to make mistakes.

At Mze School, we focus on confidence first, so students actually speak, practice, and move forward — not just “know the rules.”

We teach English (A1–C1) for kids and adults, and conversational Russian with reading comprehension, in small groups and individual lessons.

Calm learning. Real communication. Steady progress.

Online & in Tbilisi. DM for more details 💌

Being a bilingual teacher is incredibly helpful. Since I grew up learning and using both languages every day, I can switch easily between them. This helps students connect the dots, notice patterns, and make sense of the language.

Sometimes a student doesn’t need more explanation in English. They just need one clear sentence in a language they understand.

I still experience this myself while learning Georgian. Comparing, translating, and noticing patterns isn’t a weakness. It’s part of how students learn.

I bring that into my teaching every day, whether I’m working with kids, adults, beginners, or advanced students. Learning shouldn’t feel isolating. It should feel supported, precise, and human ❣️

Saying all that, at the very beginning you don’t necessarily need a native speaker. Accuracy is more important than fluency early on. Learning something correctly from the start matters far more than pronunciation or small nuances. Native teachers really shine once a student already has a solid base.

At Mze School, we use this approach with English at all levels, for kids and adults, and one-to-one online Russian lessons focused on conversation and reading comprehension. Lessons are tailored to each student, building confidence and making language learning thoughtful and practical! 🌞

#2026

I’m from California, bilingual in English and Russian, and I’ve spent most of my life learning languages and making art. I’m also learning Georgian now, which has reminded me what it feels like to be a student again: slow days, fast days, moments of clarity, moments of confusion. All of that matters.

I’ve been teaching for more than ten years in different countries and with many different students. Over time I realized I was developing my own way of teaching: focusing on confidence, genuine engagement, and paying attention to each student as an individual. I wanted a space built around that.

So in September 2025 I opened Mze School in Tbilisi. It’s small, which I love, because it lets me actually work with people, not push them through a system. Right now I teach English at all levels, and we’ve recently added conversational Russian with a native teacher for anyone who wants to improve their speaking and reading in a supportive environment.

My hope is to grow slowly and thoughtfully: more languages, more teachers, and eventually an art program as well. A place where language and creativity can actually meet. 🩷

New month, new language: Russian 🇷🇺✨

We’re launching Russian at Mze School — and I’m happy to introduce our new instructor, Lena Y.

Lena is a native Russian speaker with solid international teaching experience. She taught English at a community college in New York, and has taught Russian in Moscow, including for Korean Air and other international students who needed Russian for work and everyday communication. Her style is clear, structured, and great for multilingual learners.

At Mze School she will be teaching:
• Conversational Russian + Reading Comprehension
(for learners with a good base who need more speaking practice)
• A1 English
(for beginners who want a strong, simple foundation)

Lessons are small, personal, and focused on real communication — exactly how we work here. All classes are online via Zoom.

Welcome, Lena! 🌞

Native speakers don’t speak perfectly — and that’s exactly why I teach the way I do ✨
Language isn’t about 99.9% accuracy. It’s about expressing your real thoughts in a way that feels honest to you 💭 and clear to others ✅

Of course, there’s always room to improve 📚, and we should always strive to learn.
But that striving shouldn’t harm us or chase an unachievable idea of “perfect” ❤️

At MZE School, we focus on real thoughts, real conversations, and building confidence in what you can say — not what you think you should say 🌟

Moments like these are the best part of being a teacher 🥹 This student has been working so hard for months, preparing for the SAT and his university applications — and today, he got accepted with a Dean’s Scholarship to one of his top choices. Watching all that effort pay off reminds me why I started my own school: to support motivated students, build confidence, and make English a tool for their future! 🌞
