ენების ლაბის ქართული ენის მიმართულების ხელმძღვანელმა ელენე ქავთარაძემ, მრავალწლიანი გამოცდილების საფუძველზე, ახალი სასწავლო წიგნი წარადგინა, რომელიც მიზნად ისახავს უცხოელებისთვის ქართული ენის სწავლის პროცესის გამარტივებას და უფრო ეფექტური, კომუნიკაციაზე ორიენტირებული სწავლების დანერგვას.

On May 3rd, the presentation of a new practice-based textbook for teaching the Georgian language was held 💜

Elene Kavtaradze, Head of the Georgian Language Department at Language Lab, presented a new textbook based on her many years of experience. The book aims to simplify the process of learning Georgian for foreign learners and promote a more effective, communication-oriented approach to language teaching.

Today (April 14) Georgia celebrates Georgian Language Day!

Under the Soviet Union, Georgia was one of the few Republics where the native language was also the official language of the republic. However, in 1978 the status of the language came under threat due to the newly adopted 1977 Soviet constitution, which would have removed Georgian as an official language.

This issue turned out to be very sensitive issue for Georgian students, who marched in their thousands in the streets of Tbilisi in April of 1978. This was an unprecedented occurrence: mass demonstrations defied Soviet rule and reversed a decision. In 1990, Georgia first celebrated Georgian Language Day (Dedaena Day). 🇬🇪
