On our recent tour through West Georgia, our NovaMova School of Languages & Area Studies and SRASstudents visited Racha, one of Georgia’s most beloved mountain regions. ⛰
At Barakoni Winery, our students experienced Racha not only through sight, but through taste!
Our students received an introduction to Georgia’s deep cultural tradition of wine production through a tour of the winery, made complete with an introductory tasting of Racha’s best red and white varietals. ❤️🍇🤍
They even learned a bit about Georgia's sacred toasting rituals, and how to say “cheers” in Georgian– “Gaurmajos!” 🍷
Two of our students, Sarah Schreiber and Tom Fahey share their first impressions here ✨

The secrets to making authentic walnut ajika, of course!
As part of our Georgian Foodways journey, we visited Kutaisi’s famous Green Bazaar to explore one of Georgia’s most beloved culinary traditions: making authentic walnut ajika.
Guided by Irma, West Georgia’s “spice queen” (who has run the market’s best stall for years!) — we explored one of Georgia’s most important culinary traditions from the inside out.
From selecting ingredients and learning traditional spice blends to grinding walnuts and peppers by hand, we worked side by side with Irma to create our own batches of fragrant ajika.
Along the way, we gained a deeper understanding of the ingredients, techniques, and stories that shape Georgian cuisine.
This experience was about so much more than just food - it was cultural exchange, culinary immersion, and teamwork in action.
That’s exactly how NovaMova Tbilisi School in partnership with SRAS create transformative learning experiences in Georgia 🇬🇪 and beyond!
👇 By the way, do you know which spices go into authentic Georgian ajika? Drop your guesses below!

Supra is not just a dinner– it’s a legendary feast, and the cornerstone tradition of Caucasian hospitality! Historically, the word სუფრა (supra) originated from Persian/Arabic roots, and literally means "tablecloth." However, in Georgia, it evolved from a simple piece of decor into an entire gastro-philosophy.
All NovaMova Tbilisi School and SRAS students get to take part in such a feast to feel right at home– particularly after a long flight.
The heart of our recent feast was in the incredibly cozy and welcoming Hotel At Gomi . Its wonderful host Mari Lukhumaidze, prepared amazing homemade Georgian cuisine for our students.
The highlight of the evening? A special musical surprise: Giorgi Kobaidze and other musicians performed traditional Georgian songs, and even sang with our students! With toasts, laughter, and delicious food breaking down every barrier, yesterday's strangers became close friends by the end of the night.
👇 Have you ever been to a real Supra? Which Georgian dish is your absolute favorite?
A night out watching sports with friends sure sounds like fun! But it can also be the perfect recipe for a great evening of total immersion.
Nothing breaks down barriers and brings students from all over the world together quite like watching football, sharing heated discussions, and bonding over a generous table. ⚽️🍕
Language learning isn’t just about lessons, grammar, and classrooms– it’s about real life conversation and authentic engagement.
Because let’s be honest, the best memories are made outside the classroom! We know exactly how to balance intensive studying with pure, unforgettable fun.
Our students particularly enjoyed watching a match featuring Georgia’s iconic football star– Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, aka Kvaradona!
We truly had an amazing team of students in Kutaisi! 💖
What about you– which sport do you love? 👇

The entire NovaMova School of Languages & Area Studies team wishes Ulviyya Guseynova a very happy birthday! 🎉
A birthday is the perfect occasion not just to share warm wishes, but also to let you get to know her a little better! Her immense love for reading and the inspiring example of her school teachers naturally led her to linguistics.
However, her background has some very unexpected chapters. In the past, Ulviyya worked as a graphic designer and... an accountant! So students can be absolutely sure: in her classes, all your language-learning successes and victories will be accurately counted. 😉
Ulviyya is a true creator. She loves to experiment: she can teach the exact same topic in completely different styles, constantly introduces new teaching methods, and masterfully adapts complex material to fit the needs of the course. As she admits herself: "Thanks to NovaMova, I realized once again that teaching is my true calling!" And we are sincerely glad that it is.
We wish you endless energy, creative joy from your work, countless smiles, and the most grateful students. Thank you for being with us!
👇 Friends, join the congratulations in the comments, let's make this a real celebration for Ulviyya!
Today, we celebrate our incredible teacher and guide, Gogi Kezevadze!
To our students, Gogi is more than just a guide– he’s practically a godfather. He’s even gone as far as giving every single one of them a Georgian name.
Whether he’s giving a history lesson, offering a toast, or sharing a moment from his life, Gogi knows exactly how to make the moment right. Through his wealth of knowledge and incredible character, Gogi introduces Georgian culture and experience to our students with passion, creating memories that stick with them for a lifetime.
Join us in congratulating Gogi on his special day! To you, and many years to come!
With appreciation, respect, and love,
Our team at NovaMova.

What if we reimagined our relationship with stray animals? 🤔 Georgia has done just that. 🐶
You might have heard that a city with many stray dogs isn’t a good sign– but don’t worry. In Georgia, residents choose to live alongside animals, rather than restrict them to pounds.
And as a traveller on our tours, or a student on our program, they’ll become part of your daily life, too 🐾
Those with colorful tags clipped to the ear indicate that the dog has been ethically captured, vaccinated against rabies, neutered, and returned to its original neighborhood.
Whether they’re walking you home, sneaking into your picture, or even sharing your khachapuri, Georgia’s dogs ensure that you’ll always have a friend, wherever you go 👣
Ready to travel with some furry friends at your side? Send us a message– we’ll introduce you to your new pals. 💌

🇬🇪✨ Did you know that in Georgia, even a simple «hello» is a wish for success?
When you greet someone with gamarjoba, you’re not just saying hi —
you’re saying:
🌟 «May you be victorious.»
The word გამარჯობა (gamardjoba) comes from marjve, meaning victory and success.
It’s a small phrase with big energy — a reminder to keep learning, keep growing, and never settle for the banal. 🧠🚀
📩 Who would you say gamarjoba to today?
Tag them & share some victory vibes! 💬
