Last week marked the launch of an exciting new milestone in legal education and U.S.-Georgian academic cooperation.
Through the U.S. Embassy-funded University Capacity Building Program (UCBP), implemented by American Councils for International Education, New Vision University - ნიუ ვიჟენ უნივერსიტეტი in Tbilisi and Georgia State University in Atlanta announced a new dual Master of Laws (LL.M.) degree program that will prepare future legal professionals to navigate the rapidly evolving legal landscape shaped by artificial intelligence, analytics, and emerging technologies.
The program grew from sustained collaboration between the two institutions, building on faculty exchanges and academic partnerships fostered through UCBP. By connecting Georgian and U.S. legal education, this initiative expands access to American legal expertise, creates new opportunities for joint research and teaching, and strengthens the talent pipelines that drive U.S. innovation and economic growth.
