Recently Law club had a meeting with a leader of Progress School Media Club Tamta Jijavadze.

Invited guest discussed the importance of freedom of speech in Media. The meeting was very interesting for the students, as they before the meeting studied Human Rights.

Recently law club members started course- “Educate others”. During two weeks they were preparing topics and presenting to other non-member students.

1. Mahmure Yagcioglu- Liza Metreveli- Criminal law- presented to 11th grade;

3. Daniel Baloch- Paniz Momeni- Consciousness- Presented to 9th grade;

Recently law club members had a meeting where they studied the main points of debating. From the very beginning of the history to the last point- the keys of a successful game.

After looking through the rules, members did debate on a topic: “Vaccination should be mandatory”. Sides provided different arguments and contra arguments, discussed the importance of the vaccination and the result. Answered to the questions and made clear their positions.

Law club “Law of Society” plans to continue the cycle of Debating. As it helps students to improve skills like: discussing, introducing positions to others, be self-confident and etc.

Recently students had a meeting about creating bussiness.

✅ How to transfer an idea into a business plan?
✅ What types of business entities exist in Georgia?
✅ How to choos a type of an entity?
✅ How to register the plan as a business?

In spite of pandemic situations and online studying, Law club “Law of Society” continues active working to help students in improving their skills.

We had meeting throughout the semester. Met and discussed a lot of different and interesting topics.

➡️➡️ One of the main project we had this year was Model United Nations- Progress, which was fully organized by the head of the club Sofia Bolkvadze and members of the club Meryem Gumush, Luka Chikhladze and Nina Kartozia.

Project was lasting for 4 days and every student who were studying in 10-12 grades, from pulic or private school, could join.

The agenda of the project was loaded:

✅On the first day participants met orginizers, got additional information, found out which countries they had to represent.

✅On the second day the chair and one of the organizers Luka Chikhladze explained the rules of the project to the participants.

✅ On the third day delegates started the game. They represented the countries, discussed the problems nations had and tried to find the solutions for the issues.

✅ On the last day special speaker-delegates prepared and introduced their resolutions to Jury. On this day there were nominated The Best Delegate Baloch and Jury’s Choice Liza Metreveli.

Progress school and Law of Society prepared special prizes for the winners and participants as well. Daniel Baloch got 50% scholarship of 2021-2022 academic year in Progress and Liza Metreveli got 25% scholarship of Progress Language Center. Also, they got some souvenirs from school. All the participants got certificates.

Many times teenagers are asking questions about adoption, surrogacy, foster families and etc. They are interested not only in rules, how it works or how it is controlled, but also what kind of legal action, moral steps are done to be adopted or have an surrogate mother.

So this meeting we decided to debate on the topic connected to adoption and surrogacy. Children were discussing how immoral it is to be surrogate mother or how adoption affect on a child's mental health. Also they discussed the topic due to their religion, which was really interesting- moral vs law or religion vs law.

The winning team was: Mah Mure Maryam Shamshad and Luka Chikhladze.

After winter vacations We have continued our meetings ‼️‼️

This week students gathered at American International High School-College Progress - Tbilisi to solve a mysterious case- The death of a teacher 🙈🙈🙈😂😂😂

They divided roles first and then together solved a case ‼️

At Progress we study not only what is written in books, but also improving our different skills. Such as deduction and logic ✅✅✅🎉🎉🎉

On December 21-22 ☃️, Autumn Season Final Debating Tournament of Georgia's Future Academy project's "IDEBATE" was held 🗣 where 29 teams from different regions of Georgia were participating. The teams were chosen from Regional Selection Debating Tournaments.

They debated on 8 different interesting resolutions. Successful participants were awarded with thropies, medals, certificates and other valuable gifts.🏆

We are proud to inform you that Giorgi Ekaladze, substitute tutor in Law of Society, Debate club Leader, and Luka Chikhladze, active member of the club, have been among them.

✅ Giorgi has won the Top First Speaker award 🥇 and reached the final round of Final Debating Tournament.

✅ luka has reached the semi-final round of Final Debating Tournament 👏 and has taken first place on the Tbilisi Selection Debating Tournament 🥇

We wish them the best of luck in all of their future endeavors.😊

On 14th December 🗓🗓 at American International School-College Progress held competition "The Best Speaker 2019", which was organized by law club "Law of Society". 🗣🗣🗣

Students from 9th and 11th grades, members of the club, had to present presentations on random topics which were chosen by them.

Winners were nominated by the honorable Jury:

🔴 Jemal Manjgaladze- Head of Stem education at Progress 👨🏻‍🏫👨🏻‍🏫👨🏻‍🏫🧑🏽‍🔬🧑🏽‍🔬
🔴 Giorgi Ekaladze- Substitute Tutor in Law of Society, Debate club Leader.

There were determined 1st🥇, 2nd🥈and 3rd Places 🥉. From the participants winners became:

✅1st Place- Liza Metreveli, The dark side of the internet

✅2nd Place- Maryam Shamshad, Common Memtal disorders

✅And finally, 3rd place- Luka Chikhladze, Why should you love yourself?!
