Dreams don't expire.

Bev and Brooke-Lynn Reynolds made SGU history as the University's first mother-daughter duo to receive their white coats together at the School of Medicine White Coat Ceremony. 🩺

For Bev, the ceremony represented a lifelong dream finally realized. For Brooke-Lynn, it marked the beginning of her journey toward becoming a physician. Different paths brought them to medicine, but now they're walking that journey side by side.

Their story is a powerful reminder that there's no single path or perfect time to pursue your purpose.

From SGU student to interim dean!

Dr. Lindonne Telesford's journey at SGU has come full circle. After earning her Master of Science in Public Health from SGU in 2009, she returned as a faculty member in 2016, and today serves as interim dean of the School of Graduate Studies.

A proud Grenadian and public health researcher, Dr. Telesford is passionate about addressing the challenges facing Caribbean communities through research in environmental health, climate change, and One Health.

Now in her leadership role, she's focused on expanding research opportunities and preparing the next generation of graduate students to tackle complex global challenges.

As SGU celebrates its 50th Anniversary, few people embody its journey like Dr. John Madden, MD '81.

Now Associate Dean and Director of the Office of Career Guidance and Student Development (OCG), Dr. Madden founded this office to provide medical students with residency guidance.

A favorite memory is of a 63-year-old student who came to SGU after serving in WWII and a career at Boeing. He later matched into psychiatry, practicing into his late 70s.
