💚 GBSS THANKS Mr. Calvin Antoine 💚

GBSS extends sincere thanks to Mr. Calvin Antoine, retired IT Teacher who served the school for over 20 years, for his contribution of a wireless microphone system.

Saturday last marked 17 years since Mr. Antoine created the GBSS page, at a time when no other secondary school in Grenada had a Facebook presence. Today, the page has surpassed 11,000 followers, making GBSS the most-followed secondary school on island.

We thank Mr. Antoine for his continued service and support of GBSS and wish him all the best.

🔥💚 WHAT A DAY AT GBSS! 💚🔥

Orientation 2026 was nothing short of AWESOME! The energy was high, the excitement was real, and our newest GBSS boys and their families got their first taste of what it means to be part of this great institution.

From the warm welcome and powerful presentations to the performances, activities, laughter and unforgettable moments, today was about more than starting secondary school. It was about stepping into “A Legacy of Excellence, A Future of Possibilities.”

Today, they walked through the gates as new students. Now, their own chapter in the GBSS story begins. GREAT IS THE GBSS!💚

Do you remember our Octathlon GOLD Medalist at the 2026 Intercol games?🥇

Qwanell Pierre placed 2nd in the 100m, 2nd in the long jump, 1st in shot put, broke the 400m record, placed 6th in the 110 hurdles, 2nd in the Javelin and 1st in the 1500m! Wow! What an octathlon feat!

Today, the GBSS family proudly celebrates with Qwanell as he makes his way to Iowa Central Community College!🎉🎊🙌🥂

This remarkable achievement reflects not only his athletic ability but also his discipline, resilience, unwavering work ethic, and loyalty to our school.💯

He has worn the GBSS colours with pride, represented us with honour, and shown that true champions are built through consistency, character, and determination. His success is a victory for our entire school community and a reminder that dedication opens doors.💚

At the beginning of rehearsals, the boys could barely hold a note. But with dedication, perseverance, and the guidance of our very own teacher and committed choir director Miss Calliste, they found their voices and transformed into a choir they can be proud of.

At The GBSS, we pride ourselves on creating beautiful outcomes. We don’t focus on where our boys begin, we focus on how far they can go. 👏👏👏

Do you remember our boys who showed incredible grit and determination on the track and on the field at The Intercollegiate Games 2026? The boys who trained tirelessly, pushed through pain and exhaustion, and gave their all for the love of their school? The boys who never gave up, who fought for every point, every race, and every victory? 🫡👏🏃‍♂️

They wore our colour with pride and reminded us that true champions are not only measured by medals and trophies but by their courage, perseverance, and unwavering spirit.💚

We pause to celebrate these young men whose hard work and commitment made us stand a little taller and cheer a little louder. Thank you for representing us with honour and for showing us what it truly means to have heart and determination.

🙏👏YET ANOTHER ALUMNI HIGHLIGHT🙏👏

It is often said that no one loves their school quite like a GBSS Old Boy/Girl! 💚

We continue to boast of this fact as renowned music industry professional, Chervon Peck Thomas, stopped by the school on personal business, but after hearing the boys rehearsing for their graduation, he couldn’t resist lending a hand. He graciously joined the rehearsal, offering his expertise to help polish their graduation song.

We sincerely appreciate Chervon’s generosity, encouragement, and willingness to invest in his school. It’s another reminder that a caring community helps shape confident young men. Thank you for making a difference!
