✨ Exciting news & an opportunity to get involved! ✨
Hi everyone 😊
We wanted to share something really exciting about the next step in our journey. Over the past few years, we’ve built something really special together, and now we’re taking things forward by setting up an official charity to support and grow our work with children and families ❤️
This will help us to:
🌱 Create more opportunities for children
🎨 Develop our play provision even further
👨👩👧 Support families in our community
🌍 Continue and expand projects like our Transylvania play work
As part of this, we’re looking to bring together a small group of trustees to help guide the charity as it grows. This is a voluntary role, focused on supporting the bigger picture and future direction—no day-to-day involvement needed.
If you feel this might be something you’d be interested in, or you’re just curious to find out more, please feel free to send us an email on [email protected]
There’s absolutely no pressure at all, we just wanted to open up the opportunity as it’s such a positive step for the children, families, and community we care about 💛

This week at Clwb y Ddraig we’ve been enjoying the story Stick Man, with lots of Stick‑Man‑inspired fun and adventures. The children loved exploring outdoors, creating their own stick characters, and getting hands‑on with natural loose parts.
Our food activity was a big hit too — delicious cheesecakes decorated to look like giraffes!
We also celebrated International Day of Play, filling the week with imagination, creativity and plenty of laughter.
A wonderful week of stories, play and tasty treats.
Yr wythnos hon yn Clwb y Ddraig rydyn ni wedi bod yn mwynhau’r stori Stick Man, gyda llond llaw o hwyl ac antur wedi’i ysbrydoli gan Stick Man. Roedd y plant wrth eu boddau’n archwilio tu allan, creu eu cymeriadau ffon eu hunain, ac yn defnyddio rhannau rhydd naturiol.
Roedd ein gweithgaredd bwyd yn llwyddiant mawr hefyd — chesecêcs blasus wedi’u haddurno fel giraffod!
Fe wnaethon ni hefyd ddathlu Diwrnod Rhyngwladol Chwarae, gan lenwi’r wythnos â dychymyg, creadigrwydd a llawer o chwerthin.
Wythnos hyfryd o straeon, chwarae a danteithion blasus.

To mark International Day of Play, we are handing the reins over to the children. They will be leading their own play, shaping the environment, and making decisions about how their session unfolds.
This approach reflects UNCRC Article 31, which protects every child’s right to play and participate in cultural and recreational activities. By giving children ownership of their play, we recognise their agency and support their wellbeing, confidence, and creativity.
Proud to celebrate children’s rights today and every day.

Our book this week has been The Snail and the Whale. The children have loved turning playdough into snails, practising their pencil skills by following the swirly snail‑shell lines, dancing like zombies with Charlotte, and making delicious pizza muffins last Friday.
And of course — the rain hasn’t stopped us from playing or building. Nothing gets in the way of our fun!
Ein llyfr yr wythnos hon oedd The Snail and the Whale. Mae’r plant wedi mwynhau troi plastisin yn wenyn, ymarfer eu sgiliau pensil drwy ddilyn y llinellau troellog ar gyfer cragen y malwoden, dawnsio fel seirff gyda Charlotte, ac yn gwneud muffins pizza blasus ddydd Gwener diwethaf.
A wrth gwrs — dydy’r glaw ddim wedi ein stopio rhag chwarae na adeiladu. Does dim byd yn ein rhwystro rhag cael hwyl!
