As we come to the end of another busy education year, I would like to take this opportunity to say a very big thank you.

Thank you to the parents who chose us to be the beginning of your little ones education journey.

Thank you for all of your support, your trust, for the donations and for your understanding.

A huge thank you for the beautiful gifts we have received. We appreciate them more than you will know.

Finally, a huge thank you to my amazing team who have made this education year a success.

We are looking forward to a summer full of fun and making memories with our little besties before they begin their next journey at school.

June was an extremely busy month for us at Mini Miners Hall.

We had lots of visits, attended training as well as attended events to share good practice.

Here are some of the invitations to play set up for our little friends based on their schematic play, interests and fascination.

July is looking just as busy with visits from class teachers and our final advisory visits all booked in.

We are also busy making plans to enhance the setting as we get ready for another busy education year from September.

The time is fast approaching where we prepare to say goodbye to some of our little friends as they begin their next adventure at big school 🎒

We have already begun party planning with our little friends, who have lots of lovely ideas of how they would like to celebrate the end of term 🥰

We have taken the difficult decision to close all 3 settings until Friday. We are sorry for the inconvenience that this will undoubtedly cause. X

You may have seen on the news this week that the Princess of Wales is on an official visit to Italy to learn more about the Reggio Emilia Approach to education. While on her official visit she enjoyed a clay workshop. The Princess spoke of how beneficial it is for a child to “actually be able to stop and use your hands and pay attention.”

At Mini Miners Hall this week we have begun exploring clay. The children have been given a small amount of clay. It’s open ended nature means it can be anything the children want it to be.

Over the next few months we will continue to explore clay to see the progression of each child’s creativity.

“The experiences we offer in the early years should be hands-on, purposeful and meaningful to the child. They should encourage children’s independence, and offer risk, challenge and opportunities to experience success along the learning journey.”

We have had a very busy start to the new Education term.

Through observations, circle time discussions and chats over meals, the children’s interests and fascinations have been the basis of all the invitations to play and provocations set up by the team!
