A little update from Nepal ❤️🇳🇵

We’ve received some lovely new photos of twins Ganga and Jamuna, the two sisters supported through their education by Helping Hands for Nepal.

Our usual partner in Nepal, Dayula Sherpa, wasn’t able to make his usual visit this time as he has been supporting families affected by the recent floods. We completely understand, and he arranged for our local partner Ram to deliver the money and check on the girls in his place.

Ram was able to spend some time with Ganga and Jamuna, make sure they were doing well, and send us these new photographs. He also shared copies of their latest school reports, which is particularly important to us. We want to know not just that our support reaches the children, but that it is helping them to continue their education.

It’s always special to receive an update like this. These may seem like small things – school fees, supplies and regular support – but for a child in a remote community in Nepal, they can make a very real difference.

We’re delighted to see the girls looking so well and to know that they are continuing with their schooling. ❤️

Misinformation Hurts Nepal’s Tourism🥲🇳🇵

Floods and landslides have affected parts of Nepal, but misleading reports have created the impression that the entire country is unsafe.

More than 80% of major tourist destinations and trekking routes remain open, including Everest, Annapurna, Kanchenjunga, Dhaulagiri and Dolpo.

Tourism stakeholders warn that misinformation and cancellations are causing major losses for hotels, airlines, guides and local businesses. Accurate, destination-specific information is crucial to restore traveler confidence.
