As a professional childcare provider, one thing I am continually doing is expanding my knowledge by reading books of all things related to children.
⭐️ ⭐️ This is my latest read ⭐️ ⭐️
It has resonated massively with me, and I honestly think everyone should read it, but especially parents.
In the book Jonathan goes into detail about the many problems faced by children and young adults today (stuggling at school, mental health issues, bullying etc), and that these are mostly as result of two things. The introduction of smart phones (and online gaming/social media) into every day life, and the lack of outdoor, child-led free play.
Children are missing out on things that are essential to normal brain development, because their lives are filled with screens and their ‘free time’ dominated by structured adult led activities, and nothing like the childhood people born in the 1980’s and before would have experienced.
I cannot recommend this book more highly.

If only I was a doll, then I could be posted over to the USA to see my last nanny family.
The problem with creating meaningful bonds is it makes the goodbyes so much harder.

As my current family are relocating to the USA, the time has come for me to look for a new nanny role.
I’m looking to start mid July, but would consider an earlier start date for the right family.

One week today I have to say goodbye to my amazing nanny family. As they leave to start their new life abroad.
They have all been a massive part of my life for the last 3.5 years and I will miss them all so much.
Even the 11 month old Doberman!
The best nanny families are the ones who become part of your family.
