Our Helmsley setting have enjoyed a wonderfully calming pamper session. 🥰 They soaked their little feet and enjoyed some reading, followed by gentle hand massages and a game of 'Round and Round the Garden Like a Teddy Bear'. 🐻💛

To finish, we relaxed our bodies and minds with some gentle stretching and deep breathing exercises on our yoga mats. 🧘✨ These special moments help to nurture wellbeing, encourage relaxation and create a peaceful space for our little ones to learn about self-care.

Our weekly Stay & Play Sessions start this morning!

At our Acomb setting, the children have been building their communication skills and becoming expressive explorers through creative mark making activities. 🎨

Using colourful paints, tinfoil and toy cars, the children experimented with different movements and patterns by pushing the cars down the slide and across the paper. As they explored, they used lots of expressive language such as “ooo!” and “brum brum!” while watching the cars race along. 🚗

A wonderful sensory activity encouraging creativity, communication and curiosity through play-based learning. 💛

The children at our Helmsley setting had so much fun celebrating May Day this month! 💃🏻🌸

We gave Maypole dancing a try, holding onto the ribbons as we danced around together, singing songs and playing our instruments along the way. It was a wonderful morning full of smiles, music and movement! 🎶

🏳️‍🌈 On Saturday 30th May Little Years will be taking part in York Pride's Parade. 🏳️‍🌈

We’d love for parents, families and friends to join us for as much or as little of the day as you'd like.

Together, we’ll be joining the march as part of this joyful celebration of community, equality and LGBTQ+ human rights in the UK and around the world. 💜

This sense of belonging is deeply embedded in our ethos and values. That's why our approach to inclusion promotes kindness, acceptance and empathy. Helping children feel valued, heard and like they truly belong is our number one priority.

After the parade, we’ll also be spending the afternoon at the Knavesmire enjoying all the fun, music and celebrations. We’d love to see you there! Whether you march with us, wave from the sidelines or join us later in the day, everyone is welcome! ☺️
