🌟 Marcie – joining us at just 15, she dedicated herself to training while gaining hands-on experience every single day. She has grown into a confident, caring practitioner who made a real difference through her enthusiasm and willingness to learn.
🌟 Alison – a dedicated practitioner who has always given her heart to every child she cares for. Her patience and gentle encouragement helped so many children blossom in their own time.
🌟 Emily – passionate, kind, and always ready with a brilliant idea to make children smile. She worked tirelessly to bring joy, curiosity, and creativity into every room she stepped into.
🌟 Emma O – a committed and compassionate practitioner who instantly made children feel safe, listened to, and valued. Her calm, caring nature has been a constant source of comfort and support for little learners.
🌟 Tom – consistently hardworking, dependable, and kind, making a positive impact wherever he went. His thoughtful support and willingness to help made him a much-loved member of our team.

🌟 Verity – returning after surgery with passion and determination, eager to get back to what she loves most. Her strength, skill, and absolute commitment to children’s development make her truly remarkable.
🌟 Mollie – our incredible cook who filled tummies and hearts with delicious meals and kindness. She made food a joy for children (and adults too!), bringing love and warmth into every dish she created.
🌟 Emma R – a brilliant room supervisor who led with calm guidance and genuine care. Her leadership helped both her team and the children thrive in a space full of support and laughter.
🌟 Kim – a supportive and dedicated room leader who always put the wellbeing of children and staff first. With patience and pride, she helped create an environment where everyone felt encouraged to learn and grow.
🌟 Morgan – enthusiastic, caring, and full of creativity, she made every day brighter for the children in her care. She built strong bonds through fun, structure, and a true understanding of every child’s needs.
🌟 Mary – our deputy manager who brought fun, imagination, and plenty of (purposeful!) mess to everyday learning. Her passion for play and ability to make every experience unforgettable helped shape magical childhood memories.
🌟 Chelsie – an amazing manager who led with resilience, compassion, and unwavering strength through every challenge. She never stopped fighting for the children, the families, or her team, and Blue Sky has been better for it.

You’ve laughed, learned, explored, created, and filled our rooms with more joy than words can ever express. From bug hunts to messy play, superhero capes to story times, you’ve made every single day unforgettable.

Although our time at York Clifton Moor has come to an end, your little smiles and big personalities will forever be part of the Blue Sky story. Thank you for being our magic. ✨

The Imps and the Elves have enjoyed using their physical development by using some paper plates and used them as ice skates. The children had to keep their feet on the plates and glide across the room. This develops the children's spacial awareness and turn taking

The Imps and Elves enjoyed getting messy today by painting the floor! They had fun exploring mixing different colours and seeing what they created. This helps with their expressive art and design. We also painted our hands and feet which aids our physical development and personal social and emotional development.

This morning the older children enjoyed making morning snack for everyone. We learnt about how to do this safely, which types of food are our favourites and we also practiced taking turns. Once we had finished making snack we enjoyed eating it and sharing it with our friends!🍐🍎🍽️

The Imps and the Elves enjoyed flour play yesterday which ended up very messy. This morning the children enjoyed exploring the snow again, lots of fun in the snow.

The children and the staff were very excited to discover the snow from the window so we put coats, wellies and hats on. We all enjoyed playing in the snow. A fun morning. ❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️

The Imps and the Elves have enjoyed practicing their mathematics skills by completing some simple jigsaws. They all worked together to complete the jigsaws and we gave each child in each jigsaw a name. This develops their mathematics and teamwork. 🧩🧩🧩🧩

Children in need 2025! Today the staff and children had a pyjama day for children in need💛

This afternoon the pixies enjoyed exploring the garden, they loved playing in the house and also going down the slide!🍁🍂🌳🏡

The Imps and Elves have enjoyed a bit of early morning dressing up. Lots of fun for a wednesday morning.
