π "The best classroom is filled with curiosity, imagination, and a little bit of adventure." π
This week, our Active Adventurers have been exploring the exciting themes of Summer, Holidays, and Insects, and what an incredible week it has been! Our Book of the Week, What the Ladybird Heard on Holiday, inspired so much of our learning, encouraging the children to discover insects and bugs in our mud kitchen as they searched for creepy crawlies and created their own bug-themed adventures through imaginative, sensory playπ.
Our holiday adventures continued as the children immersed themselves in a variety of exciting activities. They loved creating their own postcards, drawing their passport photos, packing suitcases, and role-playing in our travel agents before taking off from our small world airport on lots of imaginative aeroplane adventures. We also explored different types of holiday transport, talked about where we like to go on holiday, what we need to pack, and the delicious foods we enjoy while we're away. It was wonderful to hear the children sharing their own holiday experiences with their friends.πβοΈβΊοΈ
To finish off our summer fun, we cooled down with some delicious ice cream-themed activities, where the children enjoyed scooping, serving, and making their very own ice creams and ice lollies through hands-on, real-life experiences.π¦π
It has been a week filled with curiosity, creativity, imagination, and meaningful learning through play. Watching the children's confidence grow as they explored, discovered, and shared their ideas has been wonderful, and they have absolutely loved every moment of our summer adventures.π©

Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Stars in our Baby Room! π
This week has been all about the magic of nursery rhymes! Our babies have been completely captivated by the music, rhythms, and actions.π΅
Weβve been zooming around during "Wheels on the Bus" π, reaching for the stars with "Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star" β¨, and enjoying so many other classics!
Our activities have been much loved by our babies and the sensory interactive activities have helped us to understand the songs in a hands-on way!
From this, we have created lots of exciting sensory trays to extend that learning, embedding the rhymes through play and repetition. We have been exploring fluffy pink textures for Baa Baa Pink Sheep, getting creative with messy paint to make our own twinkling stars, and zooming through a bright red tray for the Wheels on the Bus! π€πΆπΌ

"This is my friend the colour monster. Today he is all mixed up and very confused. He doesn't know why." - The Colour Monster, Anna Llenas.
This week in Active Adverturers we have been exploring all about our emotions and feelings, so we can learn and understand why we feel how we feel!
We have been looking at our Colour Monster book to help us learn about our emotions, their names and the colours that relate to them!
From this we have done lots of exciting colour based activites to extend that learning, talking about the emotions that relate to the activity's colour, embedding the learning through play and repetition.
With the warm weather we have also incorporated water to play into our emotions/feeling activities to help us stay cool!

Tiddlywinks Graduation! ππβ½οΈπ₯
π₯³
What a spectacular day our preschool graduates had a couple of weeks ago, celebrating the end of their journey here with us at Tiddlywinks! πβ½οΈ
In the morning the celebrations kicked off in style with a football workshop with kicks.
Then the formal ceremony was in church where the pre-schoolers receive lovely words from their key workers, a certificate and a graduation medal. There wasn't a dry eye in the house when they drew the ceremony to a close by singing 'A Million Dreams' staning together on stage!
Parents and children then went over to the pre-school garden, where they shared some lovely World cup themed activities, before sitting down together to enjoy a fabulous afternoon tea prepared by Aunty Sue.
We are incredibly proud of our amazing graduates at Tiddlywinks! It has been such a joy watching them grow, learn, and hit so many beautiful milestones along their journey with us. We have loved being part of this journey, from hearing their daily laughter and seeing their imaginations run wild, to watching them build strong friendships.
The children had an absolute blast with our football-themed graduation today, tackling every game with huge smiles and kicking off their next big adventure in style! The sun shone down on us all day and it was such a super way to mark the end of their journey with us.Thank you so much to all the families who joined us for this celebration. Your support has meant the world to us over the years!
As the summer progresses and one by one our gradutes will leave us, we will be sad to see you go, but you leave giant footprints in our hearts, and we know you re going onto your next stage, well prepared for the adventure ahead!
We will miss you dearly and wish you the very best of luck and love for big school! Don't forget to stay in touch! ππβ¨

π¨If it sticks, it stays! π¨
Our Active Adventures have been incredibly busy over the last 6 weeks creating their amazing child-led art project, "if it sticks, it stays." As part of our 'Big art small hands' enrichment.
The children were provided with a variety of recycled materials and random objects and were encouraged to choose items from around the room to add to their creation. From cardboard pieces, gluesticks, pens, puzzle pieces, animals, and toys. Absolutely anything could become part of the masterpiece if they could make it stick! ππ¦π¨
What started as a simple invitation to create qu**ky grew into a collaborative project full of imagination, creativity and teamwork. The children independently extended and added to their project each week, exploring different ways to build, attach and decorate using a range of artistic materials and meduims to bring colour to their work! π
It has been wonderful to watch the children problem solve, share ideas, work together and take complete ownership of their project from start to finish. We are so proud of their creativity and determination!π

Hoping everyone has had a wonderful Easter weekend, unfortunately we have been experiencing technical difficulties with our email since Thursday 2nd April at 5:30pm. If you have sent an email over the bank holiday weekend or indeed as of 5:30pm on Thursday we will not have received this.
We are working to resolve this as quickly as possible and will respond as soon as they are back up and running.
