Committee Roles 05/03/2020

Hey everyone, just a reminder that we are holding our elections!

Modern Slavery is an issue that is likely to expand as the world we live in grows in pace and innovation. It is often hidden and ignored but prevalent at the root of a lot of what we invest in. We hope that University of York students realise the impact you can make from participating in an anti-slavery organisation.

This year alone, we have published a report about slavery on York’s high street; spread awareness through our collaborative podcast series with York City Council and North Yorkshire Police; and created and hosted Fairtrade and slow fashion events that have raised funds for our partner, Unseen UK. Being part of York Anti-Trafficking Society is a great way to gain experience in the charity sector and network with NGOs, as well as furthering this important and necessary work!

If you’re interested in being a part of anti-trafficking’s committee, please send an email to [email protected] with your name, the role(s) you’re applying for and a paragraph describing your interest and suitability for that role. Please find information on committee roles below. The deadline to send this email in Sunday 8th 17:00
