HIDden Theatre

While we're between productions, we read a lot of plays to get ideas! We thought we'd try something new & share some of them with you, starting with one that's connected to our recent production for the .

Music strings the together, with medieval & traditional music groups playing along the pageant route & keeping the audience entertained between performances. We were joined by the wonderful York Waits, whose lovely songs show off instruments that you don't get to see very often. Take a moment to enjoy the harmonies & complexities of this piece from our 2d performance week!

One of the neat things about presenting "The War in Heaven" is that God's first speech doesn't just create heaven, hell, & earth- it's the opening to the entire ! We were really proud that we got to do this, setting the tone for everything else.

There's a lot of background noise at this location, but medieval streets were busy & bustling, too; we think that's keeping with the spirit of .

Probably the most dramatic part of our was Lucifer's fall from heaven & his costume change, onstage, into a burnt, tormented, ruined being. Huge credit to the actors involved & those backstage who made a very challenging moment work!

We haven't forgotten about our wonderful angels! In presenting our videos from the , we cut together their most joyous, praising, & consoling moments so you can see not only how they became unique characters, but also how some of our differerent playing spaces worked (including noise from crowds and passersby).
