Are you new to leading a team, or thinking about taking that next step into leadership?
Our next Early Team Leadership course starts next week, on Thursday 24th September, and we have one place left.
We’re offering 25% off the final place (Use code FINALPLACE), so if you’ve recently been appointed or promoted to a management or supervisory role, or you’re preparing to take on your first leadership role, this could be a great opportunity to get started.
The course is the first level of our three-stage Leadership Pathways programme and is designed to give new and aspiring leaders practical skills, ideas and confidence they can use straight away.
Across five sessions, we’ll cover:
• Building cohesive teams and understanding team dynamics
• Moving from team member to team leader, including some of the challenges that come with that transition
• Change, choice and challenge, and how leaders can maintain a healthy workplace culture
• Coaching skills to help you support and develop your team
• Practical leadership skills, including coaching, feedback and having a go through realistic scenarios
There’s a strong practical focus throughout the course, with team building activities, problem solving, case studies, scenarios, discussion, group work and guest speakers. You’ll also have time between sessions to try out some of the ideas with your own team and reflect on what works.
You’ll also get access to the Institute of Leadership’s My Leadership online learning portal, with additional activities and resources.
The course runs from 9.00am to 12.30pm on:

* Monday 30th November
On completion, you’ll receive an Institute of Leadership digital credential, an endorsed certificate of achievement and 12 months’ membership to the Institute of Leadership.
