It’s here. 48 teams. 104 games. Millions of fans. One trophy.
The 2026 FIFA World Cup is officially underway, and whether you’re watching from the sofa, cheering in the pub, or catching the scores between meetings, there’s plenty to get excited about.
Over the next six weeks, we’ll be looking beyond the goals and the glory. We’ll be celebrating the qualities that make great teams successful; leadership, resilience, communication, and the ability to stay calm under pressure.
Because whether you’re managing a team or responding in an emergency, preparation, confidence and teamwork can make all the difference.

Our recent in-house Trauma and Attachment Informed Behaviour Support course, led by Jemma Holroyd, helped strengthen understanding of how childhood trauma, attachment, shame, and development influence behaviour.
Through exploring lived experiences, neuroscience and the functions of behaviour, we gained practical strategies to respond therapeutically, implement safe and appropriate restraint practices when necessary, and create positive experiences that enable children to thrive socially, emotionally, and academically.
By deepening our knowledge and practice, we continue to ensure that every child is understood, supported, and given the opportunity to reach their full potential, with safety, compassion, and dignity at the heart of everything we do.

Congratulations to this fantastic group of 14 employees from a local business who successfully completed their 2-day Qualsafe Level 3 Award in Mental Health First Aid in the Workplace at QE Training Academy.
Every delegate passed the course and contributed to open, honest and engaging conversations throughout the two days, demonstrating a real commitment to supporting wellbeing in the workplace.
Over the course, they developed the knowledge, skills and confidence to promote positive mental health, covering topics including common mental health conditions, active listening, self-awareness and supporting colleagues with empathy and understanding.
Well done to everyone involved. Your commitment to making your workplace a healthier and more supportive environment is something to be proud of.

Stepping into a middle leadership role can feel like you’re constantly balancing; supporting your team, meeting expectations, and figuring out your own leadership style along the way.
This recent review of the Institute of Leadership approved Successful Middle Leadership course at QE Training Academy really captures what makes the experience so valuable.
Over five days, you are given the space to step back from your day-to-day role and have honest, open conversations about leadership; what’s working, what isn’t, and how to handle the more challenging aspects of managing people. From sharing success stories to talking through difficult or even toxic situations, the course creates a supportive and confidential environment where you can learn from each other in a real, practical way.
A big part of that experience comes from the way the sessions are delivered ; interactive, engaging, and designed to gently push you outside of your comfort zone. As Jo shared, some of the conversations aren’t easy, but that’s often where the most valuable learning happens. Being encouraged to challenge your own thinking, reflect on your approach, and lean into those tougher discussions can make a real difference to how you lead.
The impact doesn’t stop when the course ends either. You will leave already putting ideas into practice, feeling more confident in your decisions and clearer about the kind of leader you want to be. For Jo, it also brought a sense of reassurance, that her personal values align with building a positive, healthy workplace culture, and the confidence to keep showing up in that way.
If you’re looking to grow as a leader, build confidence in managing people, and take some time to really reflect on your approach, the next Successful Middle Leadership course this September could be exactly what you need.
