New Light Learning — Learning that helps people move on and move up Community-focused courses, programmes, and resources for learners, parents, and practitioners across York and beyond.

We’re already heading into week three of New Light Learning’s Creative Career Accelerator, and it has been lovely to see the group beginning to get to know one another, build confidence and explore what a freelance or self-employed creative career could look like for them.

Over the first few weeks, participants have been looking at their strengths, learning more about the realities of freelancing, and starting to develop practical creative and marketing skills.

There is plenty more still to come, including content creation, branding, social media, copywriting, campaign planning and live project work.

We’re now welcoming expressions of interest for our next cohort, starting in September.

The programme is fully funded and designed for people living in York and North Yorkshire who are interested in exploring freelance or self-employed work in the creative and marketing industries.
