This autumn, we are supporting one of our long-standing charity partners, Cry in the Dark (CiTD), through their Christmas Shoebox Campaign.

CiTD works with vulnerable children across Romania, through a number of different projects including a residential care home for young people with additional needs and a hospice for children with life threatening and life limiting conditions.

Every year, CiTD aims to provide Christmas gifts for the children and young people they work with and they have asked us to support them in their efforts. Please find attached further information regarding the items that we wish to collect. If you are able to contribute to this campaign, we would be extremely grateful.

All items must be given to form tutors by the 21st of October.

Our GCSE Art students had a fantastic opportunity to work with artist Ian Murphy, exploring his sketchbooks, large-scale canvases and techniques.

Students enjoyed creating work inspired by Ian’s style, asking thoughtful questions and developing new skills that they’ll continue to explore in the classroom.

Ian was incredibly impressed by their creativity, enthusiasm and excellent behaviour. They were a credit to our school and what a fantastic experience for our aspiring artists!

Year seven students have been spending the last two days reflecting on their place in the world and their start to secondary school at Prayer Spaces. Thank you to York Schools and Youth Trust (YoYo) and the volunteers who have come into school to make this happen.

What a super positive first week back! 🙌

It has been fantastic to see everyone again and welcome our new year 7s! Attendance has been brilliant and there has been a real sense of energy and purpose across the school.
