What a fantastic evening at ‘An Italian Spring’ concert at St Chads York.

A beautifully performed and thoughtfully curated concert, bringing together music, art and poetry in a really engaging way. Huge credit to everyone involved for such a polished and enjoyable event.

We’re especially grateful that the concert raised funds in support of York Music Centre—your generosity will make a real difference to young musicians across the city.

What a wonderful Mother’s Day concert yesterday!

Our York Youth Orchestra joined forces with Kirkham Henry Youth Ballet for a truly special performance. The event sold out all 160 seats in advance, and after setting up the orchestra and ballet we were even able to squeeze in a few more audience members so no one missed the occasion.

The programme featured Rodrigo’s Guitar Concerto performed beautifully by our fantastic soloist Federico Pendenza, followed by a full 40 minute ballet performance of de Falla’s The Three Cornered Hat with dancers from Kirkham Henry Performing Arts.

A huge well done to all the young musicians, dancers, staff and volunteers who made this such a memorable musical collaboration.

A fantastic rehearsal yesterday with York Youth Orchestra and guest conductor El! 🎶 The music is seriously challenging, but the students are rising to it brilliantly and getting really stuck in as they prepare for their concert in March. Exciting things ahead!
