🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿Happy St George’s Day! 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

We’ve had a lovely patriotic day celebrating our country. The children enjoyed a story about George and the dragon before getting creative making their own flags, gluing and sticking to create the cross.🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

We also had lots of messy fun hand printing dragon wings 🐉

A great day of stories, creativity and celebration!

Yesterday was Earth Day 🌍

We looked at pictures of Earth from the moon on the laptop and talked about what we could see, before getting creative making our own Earths, ripping up tissue paper and sticking it on and talking about the colours.

We also had great discussions about recycling and keeping our planet healthy, finishing with a “clean the ocean” activity where the children removed rubbish and learned how it can harm sea creatures.

A lovely day of learning and caring for our world 💙🌱

🐣 Happy Easter🐰!

Hope everyone has a wonderful day today ☀️

We had such a lovely first week of the holidays! We managed not one, but TWO sessions with the Trash Bang Man 🚛🎶, lots of Easter crafts, plenty of garden play, and even some delicious “Easter soup” made in the mud kitchen! 🐣🌼

I’ll be taking a little break next week as we celebrate my daughter’s 12th birthday 🎉💕

Wishing you all a day full of chocolate, family, and special moments 🍫💛

March has been full of lovely moments and signs that spring is finally here 🌼

We started by celebrating St David’s Day, exploring daffodils, mixing colours to make orange and spotting early spring flowers. There’s been lots of time outdoors too, enjoying the sunshine and noticing the changes around us as spring begins to bloom.

We got creative with our blossom tree craft and have been busy practising our cutting skills, building confidence with scissors and enjoying collage activities to support our fine motor development.

We also celebrated Mother’s Day, making thoughtful cards and little ornaments for the special ladies in our lives 💛

For St Patrick’s Day, we explored all things green, created rainbows and went on a hunt for gold in our sensory tray, counting as we played. We even searched outside for four-leaf clovers… no luck this time, but maybe next year! 🍀

A huge milestone this month as two of our little ones have taken their first steps, which is always so special to see. Our older toddlers and pre-schoolers continue to amaze me with their growing speech, confidence with numbers and, most importantly, their kindness towards one another.

We’re now looking forward to lots of Easter fun and activities over the next couple of weeks 🐣

Just a few photos from February fun.

It was a month full of celebrations and learning through play! We enjoyed Pancake Day with lots of play, flipping, talking about our favourite toppings and of course eating pancakes 🥞

We spent time exploring our emotions and how we feel, alongside celebrating Valentine’s Day with lovely crafts for the people we love ❤️ Sensory play has been a big focus too, with lots of opportunities to develop fine motor skills, communication and early number skills.

We also celebrated Chinese New Year, learning about different cultures, trying new foods, practising with chopsticks and even having a go at writing Chinese numbers!

January vibes ❄️✨
We eased back in gently after the Christmas break and honestly January always feels like a long, cold one. But we’ve packed it full of learning and fun 💛
From celebrating the New Year to exploring chilly weather, ice play, colour mixing, shapes and mark making. We’ve played with play dough, tackled lots of puzzles, fed and watched the birds, tuned into sounds in words and even learned about Burns Night. Plus birthday celebrations sprinkled in 🎂
And of course plenty of trips out in our new wagon 🚶‍♀️ Yes my hands are full. No they’re not all mine. Yes it is a BIG pushchair 😄
Slow starts, busy days and lots of lovely little moments. Onwards February 💫

Just realised I've turned 13 today. Whatever, that's so unfair
Happy 13 years of childminding! (Glad I look after babies and toddlers and not teenagers though)
