Theatre in Schools

Hey everyone! Happy Friday ☺️ and let’s refresh by reviewing last weekend’s drama fun!

We had many creative children last Saturday - swipe the pictures and check out the crafts !!
For storytelling and story-making, we did a Scottish story about the Seal Catcher, and for the group improv, we had some new characters in both stories! (other than knights and dragons which star on many previous stories!) ———a shark 🦈 and fish 🐠 🐟 🌊 in the first one and…
For the other story, we had pooping monsters in a monster 👹 school 🏫

Then we ended happy hours by playing the Seaweed game (had loads of fun with laughters and smiles!)😉

We hope everyone is doing well in this assessment season and would highly recommend a de-stress session with us if you have finished everything!

(NO DBS is required for our Saturday sessions, so do feel free to grab some drama fun with creative children and our lovely members of Theatre in Schools 🎭!)

Hellooo everyone!!! Welcome to Summer Term and let’s review some drama fun - check out how cute our pictures are!!

Theatre in Schools has our first session last week - many creative children and some of our new & old committee members ☺️

For last Saturday, we took a trip to Greek 🇬🇷 via the ship of creativity 🛳 🛳

We played the shark 🦈 and seaweed game - the usual and very popular one!
And we explored the Greek story from the Odyssey about Odysseus and a Cyclops. And in our story creating part, here’s some highlight: Siblings escaping a cyclops with the help of a talking hotdog 🌭

In a word, loads and loads of fun! If you’re interested in having some creative moments with young children, come join our Saturday sessions! This week we will head to China 🇨🇳!

Hey everyone, we hope you have had a wonderful Easter and welcome back to summer term week 1 🌸

Theater in Schools is about to have our new committee election this Wednesday (April 20) 6 pm at D/L/037, everyone is so welcome to come! Also, you still got time to nominate yourself!! And don’t worry if you cannot make it to the election, simply drop us a message with your manifesto and we will read that out for you!

We are a super chill committee and please read through our current committee members’ role descriptions and some of their experience sharing - everyone is so enjoying the committee and encouraging you to be on the new committee ✨✨

Yesterday we had an amazing craft session and a game marathon!! 👉🏻swipe to see some of the beautiful paintings

Alongside the Enchanted Cave story 🇮🇪, we played the name game, ship game, “stuck in the mud”, circle story time (VERY creative one! There were le***an princesses with giant swords ⚔️, knight, monster 👿, aliens 👽 and giraffes 🦒, although they were all plotted to death at the end of the story). Then of course, we had our TiS tradition - keepers of the keys 🔑!

Thank you everyone for coming and this is the last family network session this term - we appreciate your company for the past two months ❤️

Happy Monday everyone! Last Saturday we took a journey to explore the story of watermelon 🍉 prince based in Vietnam 🇻🇳 and here are some pictures of kids with our crafts and story performance! 🎭

This week we are going to explore an Irish folktale 🇮🇪 since it is approaching St Patrick’s Day, and we would love to see you there!

This is an excellent opportunity to get involved, not to mention a wonderful addition to your CV! We're a friendly bunch and would love to have you on the team. We don't require prior experience, just enthusiasm! No matter if you're an old volunteer or a new one, we'd love to have you onboard so nominate yourself! And if you don't intend on running for a role, do come along and vote for your new committee:)

This week we headed to Nigeria 🇳🇬 and explored why thunder follows lightning ⚡️, why worms 🐛 live underground and why the sun 🌞 and moon 🌝 live in the sky! We created and performed fun stories with games and had loads of fun together;))

A huge thank-you for everyone who joined us this week, and we highly encourage anyone who has interests in volunteer experience or simply playing with young children or just giving it a go to do something different at your Saturdays to join our sessions!

Buenas noches, everyone 👋, it’s Saturday again - I hope y’all have been enjoying your week so far. and it’s time for some drama fun!! 🎭

For today’s craft, the children have created many amazing & unique plate aquariums which can be decorations hung to the window! We have worked up a creative story based in Poland 🇵🇱 - a folktale about the prince 🤴 of the Brazen Mountain(please check our Instagram to watch some part of the performance and the picture how children were excited to discover the craft box!!) Then, We played keepers of the keys 🔑 as sort of tradition with loads of fun to end the session ;))

A huge thank-you for everyone who joined us today despite the really sudden and heavy snow❤️

Hallo everyone! We hope everyone is having a nice weekend and maybe having some festive events for the lunar new year 🧧
And today our Theatre in Schools 🎭 had a big group of lovely participants - 15 children! We had loads of fun together with two creative stories and performances (check the first video at our Instagram :-)), followed by the fun game-keepers of the keys! 🔑
In today’s session, we made cute ship crafts with flags on them, swipe to see more!
Also, there are two more pictures from last week to refresh our memory about the fierce sword fight ⚔️ ⚔️!

We hope to meet more of you in future sessions and highly recommend anyone interested in any events to give it a go and be a volunteer (it can be a one-off thing, so no pressure at all 😉)
