Last week, year 4 beat the heat that came later in the day, with some early morning active maths.

In their end of RE topic, Year 4 have been responding to their lessons about forgiveness and building bridges in a creative way with chalks on the balcony. Look at these lovely pictures, thoughts and prayers.

This week the OLQM School Choir performed some of the songs they have learnt this year to their families. The singing was absolutely wonderful and brought so much joy to the audience. Well done choir and well done Miss Williams for all your hard work supporting the children to sing so beautifully.

Today was Mission Morning at OLQM. The school community came together to reflect on our Mission Statement 'Living, Loving, Learning - Christ at the Centre'. Parents, children and staff joined in prayer together and reflected on our school year and all the wonderful opportunities and moments we have shared. We also looked forward to the new school year and renewed our focus and promise to live out our Mission each day.
Thank you to all of the family members, Canon Michael and Governors who joined us for our 'Stay and Pray'. It is always wonderful to pray and worship alongside you.

KS1 had an amazing time at Harlow Carr, learning all about different minibeasts and their habitats, and having the opportunity to walk through a wildflower meadow and forest to find them.

The children loved exploring the gardens and looking at all the beautiful flowers. We would like to say a special thank you to all the volunteers who came with us on this trip!

Unfortunately, due to a lack of availability, the PTFA have informed us they will not be able to serve refreshments at today’s sports day. Please ensure you bring your own water bottles.

A huge thank you to Tim, Connor and Cameron from Ambulance Service NHS Trust for joining us for our First Aid Day on Friday. KS1 and EYFS loved exploring the ambulance, seeing the flashing lights and finding out what all the equipment was for, Years 3 and 4 took part in first aid classes with Tim, who then led Years 5 and 6 as they learnt how to perform CPR. All essential skills and I hope they'll come back to see us next year.

Rehearsals for the Year 6 summer show 'Treachery at Trautors Quay' are well underway. The children are busy rehearsing their lines, making props and designing the set ahead of their performance next week. We look forward to you joining us to watch it on July 7th at 6pm. - ticket entry only.
