THROWBACK WEEK - DAY 5🎪🎭🎬🏅🪩📷🗺️

As per Friday tradition, our day started with a POOL PARTY 🏊🤿🏐🤽‍♀️🌊. The children enjoyed playing water polo, with the floats, collecting sinkers and having jumping in competitions!

This afternoon’s activity was DEAL OR NO DEAL ❌. Teams took turns to open boxes and either accept or decline the banker’s offer. There was a maximum of 20 points available to be added to the scoreboard and a possible 9 points that could be taken away from a team’s total score! So it was all to play for…

Blue team unfortunately received minus 9 points. This put them at the bottom of the leaderboard and meant they received this week’s pie from the winners - GREEN TEAM!! 💚🥧

Queen Ethelburga's Explorers Nursery Little Vikings - York for kids

Our Minis had a fun-filled day today! The pool party is always a firm favourite, but adding tie-dye T-shirts made it even more special. The children put in a fantastic effort, creating some truly amazing and colourful designs.🎨👚

THROWBACK WEEK - DAY 4🎪🎭🎬🏅🪩📷🗺️

The first activity of the day was Highland Games from Around the World Week in 2025🌍🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿. Teams took part in a range of games including: welly wanging, haggis toss, tug of war and loch mess monster obstacle race.
Green Team won this activity 💚

The second activity of the day was Catering from Construction Week in 2023 👷🔨🍰. Teams had to use different sweet and savoury materials to construct famous statues or monuments. 🗽

The third activity of the day was Tie Dye from Big Cities Week in 2022 🎨. There were no points for this activity but teams enjoyed decorating their own t-shirt to take home!

The final activity of the day was creating an Escape Room from Superheroes Week in 2020. Teams had to create puzzles and activities for another team to complete. Points were awarded on creation of props and puzzles, costumes and the experience of the escape room itself! 🕵️🫆🧩

THROWBACK WEEK - DAY 3🎪🎭🎬🏅🪩📷🗺️

The first activity of the day was POOL INFLATABLE 🌊🛝. No points awarded but lots of fun on the obstacle course and slide!

The second activity of the day was Oxford v Cambridge Derby Day from Construction Week in 2023 🔨👷🚣. Teams had to create their own mini game and then compete in the other teams’s games in order to win points!
Green Team won this activity! 💚

The final activity was a whole afternoon activity of SIDE GAMES that have been played throughout the years from 2020 - 2026. Teams had to look after a raw egg 🥚, find stars and money stickers around site 🎟️and complete a selection of challenges in order to gain bonus points on the leaderboard!
Red and Green both won this activity, gaining 24 OVERALL points for their teams ❤️💚🏆

THROWBACK WEEK - DAY 2🎪🎭🎬🏅🪩📷🗺️

The first activity today was Space Invaders Dodgeball from Arcade Week in 2024 where the teams went against each other in a dodgeball competition 🏐🏆
Green and Blue Teams drew in this activity 💚💙

The second activity of the day was Treasure Chest Catering from Treasure Island Week in 2020 🪎. Teams had to create spooky graveyard scenes using gingerbread and sweets! 🍬🍪
Blue Team won this activity 💙

The third activity of the day was Dora’s Explorers from Cartoon Week in 2021 🤠🧭🗺️🔭. Teams took part in a site-wide activity finding stars and different objects in order to win points ⭐️
Black Team won this activity 🖤

The final activity of the day was CCTV Review from Detective Week in 2023🕵️‍♂️ where teams had to guess ‘what came next’ in different clips.
Yellow Team won this activity 💛

THROWBACK WEEK - DAY 1 🎪🎭🎬🏅🪩📷🗺️

The theme of Week 4 of Camp QE is THROWBACK with each activity being amongst our favourites from previous years. 🏆

The first activity of the week was SHREK DRESS UP from the ‘At the Movies’ week in 2022, where teams had to dress up their team leader as a chosen character from Shrek!
Green Team took the first 6-point win of the week 💚🥇

The second activity was the Dolphin Show from Theme Park Week in 2024 where teams had to create an aquatic performance and were were judged on their choice of song, entrance, use of props, skill and exit. 🐬🏊🏊‍♀️
Black Team won this activity with their shark routine 🖤🦈

The third activity of the day was from Wilderness Explorer Week in 2025 where teams had to re-create the house from Up 🏠🎈and were scored not only on their design 🎨but ranked 1st - 6th according to how gently their house fell.
Yellow Team won this activity 💛

The final activity of the day was Musical Chairs from Birthday Week in 2023. 🕺🪑
Green Team took the win 💚

Our morning activity was POOL PARTY!!!🏊🤿
Lots of swimming fun and no points for this morning😁

After a lovely BBQ lunch it was SPACE JAM.
Where teams were given a song to perform a dance to and get all dressed up in costume.
GREEN TEAM WON THIS ACTIVITY💚💚

Which then meant they WON THE WEEK and got to pie RED TEAM ❤️🥧
