Massive thanks to Lucy and her team of York Minster Gardeners, who spent a lovely afternoon with us yesterday, showing us around the Minster’s hidden gardens. Can you believe they maintain a huge 7 hectares of green space in total! It was fascinating to learn about the challenges of working on a site of such archaeological significance and to see their sustainable gardening practices (and awesome composting area 😀). We even got to see the stunning redeveloped stoneyard/Centre of Excellence and associated gardens. It is always such a privilege to play a small part in the upkeep of this historic landmark. Thanks so much for having us 💚🌿

It was a big effort over 4 days to get the Norfolk Coast long border complete in time for judging. We were extremely pleased to receive a Silver Gilt medal for the border. Just look at this stunning location we have just delivered to! Aldourie Castle sits on the southern shores of Loch Ness and is part of the wider WildLand estate. From first sending a full artic load of Purple-moor grass (Molinia caerulea 'Edith Dudszus') up to Lundies House (on Scotland’s North Coast 500 route) back in Spring 2021, we are extremely honoured to announce that we are now the preferred supplier for WildLand, the largest private landowner in the UK. We look forward to helping them fulfil their 200 year vision dedicated to the ecological rehabilitation of the Scottish Highlands. This ambitous rewilding and habitat conservation project will allow nature to heal, grow and thrive benefitting many generations to come 🌿🦌🌳🐾🦅🫎

What a week. I'm incredibly proud to share that our show garden has been awarded Best in Show at the Belvoir Castle Flower & Garden Show. It's been months of planning, designing, building, lifting, tweaking, problem-solving and plenty of early mornings. To have that work recognised in this way is something I'll never forget. A huge thank you to everyone who helped bring the garden to life—especially Richard, whose craftsmanship with the dry stone wall was second to none, and to everyone who stopped by to chat over the weekend. Huge thanks to the uber knowledgeable Dr Sarah Owen-Hughes for giving us a private tour of the Michelin starred Fifty Two Kitchen Garden and stunning Grade 1 listed Landscape grounds at Rudding Park Hotel today. We even got to see our own newly planted plants on Phase 1 of their Yorkshire-themed Adventure Golf Course currently under construction ⛳️ 🏌‍♀️⭐️💚💛🌿

It may have been an exceptionally busy summer for us at the cash and carry but that hasn't stopped us potting in excess of 50,000 plugs and P9s, to add to our expanding home-grown range 🙌 We have also been trialling a reduced peat mix and had good results so far 👌🌿🌱🪴
